I'm wondering if it is possible to find a job with a company like Apple or Comcast working from home. Do companies like that hire people to work from their homes? I would love to work from home but, I want to work for a real company not necessary start my own business or click for pay or any of that stuff. If you've ever heard of companies hiring work at home employees, please leave a comment.

I have searched the internet for literally months now, and have come accross not one single site that wasnt a rip off or scma in some way. I have come to the conclusion that they just dont exist anymore. THere are some sites that pay for reading emails, doing surveyrs and like this, posting in discussions, but they all pay pennies and unless you can spend 24 hours a day on them youre never going to make a living from them. I am disabled and a work from home job would be suitable for me, yet i cant ind one anywhere

Janiewhite35, are you in the US? If so, check out a place called NTI which is at nticentral.org as it is a legitimate company who hires disabled people only through their local vocational rehabilitation agency. I worked for them for 15 months. It is good work and good money.

don't know if you've found a work at home job yet or not however try VIPDesk. they are ligitament, I've worked for them about a year ago. Paid training, have to have a landline and a computor connected to a cable, you can use a laptop however it has to be plugged in. They only pay mim wage during training then it goes up after training and you can also earn bonuses. You are given a regular schedule and must adhear to it. And just like a job outside the home if you need the day off you do have to call in.

Yes, I have worked from home as a call center customer service employee for a store much like WalMart here in the US. This job was with a company who only hires disabled people who go through their local vocational rehabilitation agency, however, so unless you are disabled and live in the US, this would not work for you. But there are real, legitimate work from home jobs. Lots of them. Just don't expect them in the big name companies like Apple, or Comcast unless you are some techie geek who can do the work. But yes, there are real work at home jobs. You just have to know where to look and what you are willing to do to be able to stay home. You also have to be someone who can deal with the loneliness of working alone at home and not having co-workers to talk to.

Check out ratracerebillion dot com and workplacelikehome dot com. Both of these places list companies that hire people to work from home. Ratracerebellion is a complete list of companies what positions they hire for, if the position is contract or regular employee and the requirements needed for the job, education, internet speed, software, etc. Workplacelikehome is more of a forum and jobs are posted daily. They also offer a section for each of the work at home companies and if they are hiring and what the training is like etc. Word of warning, sign up with workplacelikehome and go in and read the new member section. Don't sign up and go post in the first forum you find that you want a job at home and for others to please help you. Take you time and look around each section of the forum for all of the available job opportunities. They get kind of ticked when new people don't look around and expect the other members of the forum to hand feed them the jobs. I have seen too many people make that mistake. There is plenty of information at these two sites. Good luck!
