Well, did you stand in line to show your support or did you stay away. Me? I haven't been to a Chick Fil A in 2 years. And I haven't missed it!But many in the south waited in line. I'm glad in a way. One the Chick Fil A got some money and B, because of there stance , there may not any more popping up! They are free to feel the way they like and we on the other are free to feel the opposite! I heard Friday is Kiss Mor Chiks day. gay couples will go to Chick Fil A and kiss! This isn't going away anytime soon!Your thoughts.

I don't think it's going to be a big deal. I mean the people who work there may not feel the way the CEO does. And the CEO won't be around to see it. But if it makes people feel better...I had Chik-Fil-A today, but I didn't go. I was supposed to have lunch with my dad, but we got our wires mixed up and he ended up getting take out and bringing it back to his house. So we did eat together, we just ate at his house. He said the line was so long it took 30 minutes just for his order to be taken. And the thing I like about that place is that there service is so fast! And then when I drove by there on my way home the line (drive thru) was literally (and they can do this because it's built in a shopping center) over a half a mile long. I would have given up and gone home. I can't imagine how tired those employees must be.

Back when I went there, say 10 years ago. I would get the sandwich and my drink there and my fries somewhere else.It was a fast service. I think the employees are that good tired. I mean with this turn out their jobs are secure. I do believe most Chick Fil As will remain open but they won't be able to expand. This means KFC is sleeping well at night!

Amen!
They have the best chicken. When Chick Fil A came there wasn't a KFC near me. But as the years went by ... we got two. One is less than a mile away!

Oh yes.I thank G-d he said something. Now we all know his beliefs and can make an conscience choice to keep going or to stay away. That is the one thing they never tell you about your freedom of speech. Others have the freedom to disagree and these days they do it loudly! Question. Do you know where Torrance California is? Did you see someone painted , Tastes Like Hate on the side if a Chick Fil A building there? Wow!

I've never been to one in my life because I'm up here in Canada, and when I've been to the states, I guess I just haven't been in a location where there was one. I'm straight, but if there was a location I could go to, my husband and I would wear t-shirts showing that we support gay marriage.

I am not going to deny the fact that I do enjoy Chik Fil A and I am also going to say that I am not going to criticize the CEO of the company because of the beliefs that he has. It is clear that this company was founded on very Christian principles, in fact, Chik Fil A is the only chain that I know of that has never been open on Sundays and is still not open on Sundays today.
With that said, I did not join the hundreds of people in the city that did line up to eat Chik Fil A today. The main reason that I didn't is because I simply had a lot going on today. However, far more important than that to me is that though I do completely respect the CEOs values, just as I respect other people's values as well, it does not mean that I agree with them. If I would have gone to Chik Fil A today, it would have been a way of saying that I agreed with his values.

That's why I stopped going in 2010. Plus it was sooo easy. I have a KFC less than a mile away from Chick Fil A. And another a little further that I can get to by bus! I respect their right to have this view . But I Strongly disagree with using money from people who may support gay marriage and use it to suppress gay American's rights. As I read about this I came across an article that listed all the companies that support gay marriage and how all these groups have boycotted them. The good part? There are more than 12 ranging from The Girl Scouts to Pampers to Safeway! After that I felt sorry for these folks . Soon they won't be able to buy , wear , or eat Anything! So Let them have Chick Fil A. I noticed that the people in the line in my local one. The average age was 45! Oops! I think the teens get it! They will definitely change things!

Interesting is what I'm going to say. It's true they are intitled to there views and we are intitled to our own vies. I don't know about kiss more chiks day since I'm not into that kind of things but more power to the women that are open about being gay or bi if they are going to go kiss at Chik-fi-la.
