Getting inside the closet

Do you ever feel like getting inside the closet and just stayed there for as long you can? I really want to try that but first I need to make an imaginary closet big enough for me and in there I will put all my frustrations, hatred, disappointments and negative vibes. It's different from Pandora's box because in my imaginary closet, I can unleash whatever feelings, especially not-so-good ones, then when it's time for me to come out, I will be refreshed and face yet another chapter in my life. Tell me what you think. Thanks.

It sounds like you have a pretty deep desire to release baggage and begin a new chapter of your life where you are free from that baggage. I feel like I've already been there and down that. A few years ago I released everything and made some major changes in my life. I now live alone and I've customized a lifestyle, for myself, that is all about being free to experience joy. I wish you the best with whatever you choose to do.

This kind of thinking is your way of finding a place to escape. A place where you will find solace and be free of what's bothering you. I actually did it before, I was young that time maybe at the age of 6-7 . I was so upset that i wanted to run away so i hid in one of our closet and wishing not to be found. So it went on, buy while i was in that closet it came to my mind that running away will do me no good. Hehehe as I am not capable of taking care of myself and I do not like to be living in the streets so i came out because reality hits me. When things become overwhelming and you need to be away, do so. It is not escaping but trying to find yourself and getting a new perspective on the problem at hand. No matter where we go we will be face with trials and for me its normal to stop and think and eventually face it. Those who keep running will lead to ineffective coping thus leading to depression and worst a psychiatric condition.

Inside a closet? I don't think I would (unless it's a big walk-in closet :) I'm not too fond of cramped spaces. But I understand that most of us need some sort of place where we could release or dump our pent up feelings and frustrations in life. Well, it's actually healthy for us to do so. Keeping them bottled up isn't good. I however sometimes get in my car and drive around our neighborhood at night and shout my lungs off to release whatever pent up feelings I have
