I bought a Logitech wireless mouse yesterday and I plugged the tiny nano receiver in usb port and then switched on the battery in the mouse. It started working well. But suddenly I found the battery icon missing. battery icon is necessary to know the battery charge level. I tried by going thro control panel-- one place battery icon --that was off. I could not make it on. Then again I tried and tried somehow clicked something in control panel --I am not remembering what I did --but luckily battery icon is now shown nicely at the bottom of my laptop screen. Have you had similar experience of missing icon for battery, time, date etc. and were you able to solve them by yourself or with others help. good day.

hello ravi, The other day my laptop lost its connection from our router. I tried to connect and disconnect from it. I check the connection level and it says "excellent" I check the details and found 54mbps- working good huh...but I cannot open any browser. I am fed up so I connect my laptop directly from the main source (internet connection) Then I saw the connection turn red with an X Now I check control panel and internet connection and disabled the connection. But I cannot see the "enable" option- whatsoever. I keep searching on how will I see the two monitor icon for repairing/enabling the connection - but in vain. I keep checking the control panel- details-properties and keep on doing it in circle. Until out of the blue- I managed to enable the connection...and dang...it's connected. But honestly I don't know what I did to make it enable And don't ask me where did I found the option- because I can't find and I can't remember how I did it

I use computers since 1985. Certainly many of the problems I had, about the operating system, software or hardware. Operating system and software problems, fix most of my own. But for hardware, I have to serve in a computer workshop. Menu on the taskbar is part of the operating system. For change, there is in the control panel. But I'm still confused, if the battery icon suddenly disappeared?

nice to hear you have been using computers since 1985. I was introduced to computers in 1998 or so in a small way. I started using it vigorously after retirement in 2001. Even then I use mainly internet and microsoft word. The battery icon disappearing troubled me and I got it restored by pressing control panel etc. thanks for the response.

I never tried that.. though I often turn my battery Icon off.. It only appears when it gives signal that it has low battery and has to be charge..

I have changed my laptop battery recently. I wanted to check up and ensure whether the new battery is good or note. So I use to refer the battery icon. Now I have kept it permanently displayed on the task bar at the bottom. This is good.

simple battery/power notification is either turned on or off sometimes if another program/ application/drivers are installed. It sometimes conflicts with the system32 and have some glitches. It sometimes happen and the system will automatically restore it once it completed its scan on identifying on the new installed devices or programs. This also happens when Your cmos clock settings are incorrect..

cmos/bios Basic Input Output System. This settings are usually used by individual who build their own pc. This can be found by pressing "DEL" before the operating systems start up screen. You can also modify some of your preferences here and set some of your opt. hardware like mouse and keyboard etc.

I never had such accidental experience but I do such experience intentional. Try to play with your Operating System then this accidents will turn to incidence. Why don't you try new stuff by filling your computer with virus and try to get make your own antivirus for them. Well I know some students who do such stuff and I also like to join them and learn from them. It is interesting how they tackle viruses of their own. They code antivirus script in assembly language I like their work but don't understand them all, so I ask for reference.

probably it must be some technical fault with the battery, just try restarting and loading it again.it must be hidden in the taskbar, give it another shot and contact customer care people.they would help you out.i experienced so many times that is because of the glitch in the computer ,it will just keep happening sometimes for sure
