There is one visitor that most of us women have to put up with once a month, how do you cope with it? Is there anything that you find relaxes you or helps you get through it? For me, the worst day is usually the 2nd day of the "visit", the only thing that I really know of to do is take midol and lots of bubble baths. Do you have anything you use to help you cope? I wish I could deal with the mood swings better, those seem to be out of control at times.

That visitor is here with me now, and it's still going to be here for the next 3 more days. I feel so ugly and awful at this time. I usually find refuge from its presence by taking some hot tea and using a hot compress. I try hard to just bear the cramps because don't want to be too dependent on meds every month it is here. And of course, my husband by now is used to me being a bit easily irritated by anything. I mean come on, try having super cramps and that feeling between your legs and I don't know if you won't have monster moments.

Lol love all the wonderful word codes there. Um my visit is horrible every other month. It brings tons of cramps that keep me in bed the first day. I have to use a heating pad on my stomach and stay in bed for a while. Ibuprofen, caffeine, chocolate. The caffeine and chocolate helps through the mood swings. That's why midol actually has caffeine in it if you didn't know that already. Ibuprofen last the longest for pain though. Hot bubble baths and showers help too. But I have found after I get out everything feels worse. So I either stay in bed or become a prune in the shower or bath. And on the other months things just hurt a little. I sometimes wonder if it's because I have only one ovary but IDK? :)

I'm glad that you understood my "code", I hope all the other women do as well. I haven't had children yet but I've heard that our friend becomes even more annoying after having children, do you know anything about that? I did not know the midol has caffeine in it, interesting. Have you heard of the new pill called "maxidol", I might try it on the next "visit".
