How to throw?

Hey there everyone. Do you love to bowl? I love to bowl!
It's so fun to carry that ball, throw it and hit those pins. I play bowling sometimes when my family go to a nearby bowling place. I'm not very good at bowling but I got some strikes and spares. Usually if friends come here we take them to the bowling place and play there.
It's weird because one time one of our friends had a very unique style. He just drops the ball. The ball goes towards the pins at a very low speed but it will hit eventually. It didn't really work but sometimes he got a strike!
I'm not very good to bowl yet. Can somebody give me some tips about how to throw the ball? I've noticed that the pros beside our lane one time had a different style.

I am no good at bowling so it's definitely not good to ask me. I've seen the pros do it as well and it seems as if it's not extremely hard to do it, it's just all in the stance. I think if one puts their feet shoulder length apart it's supposed to help. I may get a strike once or twice in a game, but that's it.

Now I'm not even close to being a pro by any means, but I think I can tell you a few helpful things. First off, I would not recommend your friend's strategy of just dropping the ball, as it just slows down everything as the ball takes an eternity to go down the lane. However, I would recommend putting your thumb in the bottom hole and either your index and middle or middle and ring fingers (whichever seems better) in the other two holes and hold the ball so your fingers are holding the ball upright. Try to find a set pattern of steps to take (not too many) and then swing your arm back and let the ball go near the ground as straight as you can.
I believe (not totally sure) that the pros use a style of spin to make the ball hit the pins at a more favorable angle (since the pins are set up in a triangle, it's better to hit them at an angle). I haven't tried too much experimenting with spinning the ball, but you could try it out and see where you get.

Hi Manolo,
As you wish for, im here to give some advice regarding bowling... first you have to choose the weight of the ball, if you have your own ball that's better, but if you are not yet ready to purchase it's ok to use a house ball, and to give you the idea of the weight of the ball that will fits you, usually it is converted on the total weight of your body,at least 10% of your weight-but that depends..and the steps, it is more advisable to make 4-5 steps up to the approaching area and then bow down as you fold your knee and throw the ball by looking on the second arrow.I know its not easy at first but little by little you will learn as long as you wanted to..
Happy bowling!!!
