passive smoking is equally harmful to thus who smokes

it irritates me a lot when i sit beside a person who smokes. the smoke of the cigarette will be inhaled and the substance being found in there will be passed to you whether you like it or not. so, if that is the case, better of you to have some and light it on, sipping it in and out. sometimes, the smokers will not think what harm they would cause because of negligence even they are much aware that passive smoking can get equal harm to smokers.
to say, smoking is by choice. they won't able to listen to the ads that it has a bad effect to your lungs and other parts of your body. they smoke because maybe they want belongingness and the peers he joined are all smoking. sometimes because of boredom. others when they dispose wastes, they smoke inside the toilet room. well, whatever factors why you smoke, be sensible and be touchy in considering the health of others. even just like that you will be apprehended with high regards for taking care of the people who do not smoke. if you want to do it so, not in the public or yet find a smoking place. thank you.

Smoking is harmful in all cases, but passive smoking, is harmful to others who are sitting with this smoker. Especially if the smoker is the head of the family and the people around him are his children. The impact of passive smoking on young children more harm than adults because their immune systems are weak. Who smoke must comply with the rules and observance of special smoking in public places.

yes a father without a brain so to say. not just let them inhale the hazardous effect of the smoke but he modelled as a smoker that a certain child would imitate it someday. maybe a child would thought that smoking is good since it was the thing he saw about his father. it can inculcate into their mind that is it okay to smoke like what their father does. and the father could not blame the child if they will smoke when grown up already because he set himself as an example.

Yes, you are strongly right.
We must be for our children and for those who love them, good role models, working what is in their benefit of the good things and moving away from what is harmful to them of the things of others sound. We are teachers for our children, should not lose their credibility, and to teach them a commitment to be first and foremost of our commitment on their part.

Paasive smokers have more risk compared to the smokers. According to what I read, there are many chemicals from second hand smoke while most of them are known to cause cancer.

What I did is to transfer in other place or whisper but loud enough to hear them my reason why I transfer to other area because of the smoke.

hi, missjahn, agree with you. they should be more sensitive and care with other's health when they didn't even care with their own health. there's should be strong regulation to warn people smoke in public area. so far I still find it easy to meet people who smoke in public and do not care with others who feel disturbed

there are regulations i guess red but the implementation of it is not so strict. that is why even in a place a reminder is being printed or written on the billboard, they would not able to listen and follow; for i haven't heard any smokers being punished from the actions like smoking in public and such. :( --- i guess for this, strict implementation of the rule or severe self discipline must go hand in hand to achieve by not hazarding the air for all of us. consideration should follow always for this. thanks for coming back to post your answer in this thread conversation :)

at least, when they cannot stop and control themselves, they must be considerate to think the bad effect of smoking in the midst of the public. it is not easy to inherit illness because of others misdeeds plus the price of the medication is expensive or if too unlucky, this thing would do you such harm that may end your life. yes, you are right that they are just disturbing the people around them and much annoying they played unconsciously as if no one was bothered of such action of irresponsibility. gee

not the person but the their bad habit. we cannot say to them that they would stop it but at least they take in - charge for considering the health of others. i guess, there would a be proper place for smoking and that you cannot do it anywhere in or between the presence of the all the people in the public. they should be merciful and considerate enough to put themselves where they have to smoke without blowing it and passing this to passive smokers - haha... thanks for posting in here ")

I totally agree that this is bad habit and look at the serious health hazards it cause. I do not want to be a passive smoker either. Passive smoking not in our hand though. Barely we can do anything for the fault not of ours. Hopes people are kind enough to consider other consideration.

well, too much of something is bad enough - remember that song from spice girls. oh yeah, good as we think it helps our nervous system to slow down a bit to relax. i guess, it has something to do with our wrong perception and wrong habit psychologically. we are the one who believe like that. well, to say that there are lots of things to do aside from smoking if that is really our problem; to be stress free and such.. thanks for joining in here ;)

i think that second hand smoke is just as bad as the for anyone just as it is for the person who inhales the smoke. second hand smoke can cause a variety of lung ailments.
fortunately where i live (its a fairly large city) has prohibited smoking in any public place, even on the beach! this is good for me as i have fairly severe asthma.

oh gosh, you should keep your distance away from people who smokes like chimneys on the wall. not good to someone like you. even here in our country, there is a law being implemented pertaining to smoking but i do not know how seriously they put it into action because there are still out there you can see smoking at public even there were places being assigned for smoking area to meet other person with the same vice and not doing it in front of non smokers zone area. thanks for replying in here :)

Yes, you are right. I often heard that the second hand smoking is also harmful, especially for the children. And it is unfair for the smokers to let the innocent people to have the passive smoking. It is not only harmful for the smokers, but also the people who don't smoke at all.

we already had in here. but i do not know how serious is the implementation of it as i always said to others in mylot. it is a law already needed to be implemented as to discipline the abusive smokers where to put themselves into a place where they are allowed to smoke without harassing someone at all.

I am an ex smoker, and i find smokers selfish arrogant and rude. All they think about is having a smoke. They rarely wait, they will leave meals, movies, pub conversations, weddings, anything to have a smoke.
I was NEVER like that when I smoked. I always finished what i was doing, slipped out at a convenient time, and NEVER stood round the door.
I HATE having to go into places where you ahve to walk through a huddle of smokers who are right round the door, and we have to walk through thier smoke.
I find that in itself rude and selfish.
They dont care who they upset or offend, and are more often than not overly defensive if anyone says anything.
They mostly feel they have the RIGHT to make us non smokers breathe in thier toxins and smoke. SOme find it funny to blow smoke at non smokers.
They should be made to move away from doors and smoke in designated places only, even better yet BAN smoking in public altogether, though i know that won happen lol
It is a subject that drives me mad. as i say smokers get very over defensive on this subject, it is rare to find a smoker that isnt like this

haha! you hit a ton of points about smoking and smokers out there. i hate it when a driver drives and have passengers at the back or one at the front seat, go really smoking with flaring smokes as the wind had blown it. gosh, i want to grab the stick and put it inside his pocket. but won't able to do that maybe he will get angry and kick me (hahah). but i chided and complained that would he please stop smoking because the smoke get directly into us. some listened, some were not. gee... thanks for joining the discussion

I really agree with what you said. Some people who like smoke just ignore the other people. This does great harm to the peole who don't smoke. It's unfair. I hope laws can be made to prevent this situation.

laws were there, but the problem is on implementation of it. i never heard such rumours that there were smokers being jailed because they smoke in the wrong place, at least not our place. but wait, on the implementation of the law, i guess, we should take our part. if not being caught because the police is not all around to all of the places where they do smoke in a prohibited place, well, we can make complains to the precinct but the problem is that you cannot drag the man to the police station. but for me, sometimes i will chide the smokers to stop smoking because of the bad it may cause.

haha - of course, never i will involved myself to the addiction of smoking. aside from the bad effect of it, i cannot bear with the smell of the smoke as it sticks in your tongue, mouth, fingers and nose. yeah, right at that, smokers do not grow old, they die young. gee, when a person has a cancer already, think the pain and the agony plus the expenses for the medication. nice of you have money for those all but if you do not have, good luck to you, you just die in the corner with nothing. thanks :)
