recession affect my carrier?

I am new to IT industry in india having only 1 year experience. Now i heard from my friends in Infosys and wipro that their salary increment was stopped for this year and they are firing many guys from the job.. These symptoms shows we are going to have recession like 2008 again.. WIll this affect my career in this field.. What will be my future?
