How often do you eat snacks?

Hi everybody, how are you? At this moment, Im at home, sick, I supposed I´ve got a cold. The point is that I found in kitchen a package of Lays potatoes chips, and I started eating while I was studing. Suddenly my mind started thinking about how often I eat snacks and the effect on my body. Everybody knows that eat a huge ammount of snacks per day causes healthy problems, for example obesity, heart problems, etc. Some people sustitute a meal eating this kind of food, for example, working, studing centres. So my question for this instance is: How often do you eat snacks? What do you think about the problems they cause? Do you eat it in your break on the office? Good luck! happy mylotting!

i will eat snack whatever i want until my stomach is full some of my classmates told me that i ate a lot of snack i told them i don't care because my metabolism is fast yes i admit im slim but a good body image.hihihi.

I have to say that I do seem to eat more than I should. It's a habit that is difficult to break. At least, it is for me.

i eat snacks very often,specially when im studing for an exam or im not at home.i like to eat sweet bars and chips too,especially ones called doritos. there are like a vicious haha

I usually eat snacks when I'm watching TV or if I'm watching something on the computer.

I eat a lot but I never gain weight, I'm 5'3'', 48 kgs. I eat snacks from time to time, mostly after a meal. I feel like I have this carbohydrate craving. I love ice cream, sundae cone, burger and fries, cokefloat and Filipino street food like banana cue, toron, ube pao etc. One year ago I was diagnosed with LPR, I was not eating healthy foods and it's not helping my acid imbalance. My laryngo pharynx is so inflamed because the acid regurgitates in my stomach and gave me a hard time breathing. I undergone a lifestyle change for a while, I only ate steamed food. It sucked big time.

I am a teenager so it is hard for me to restist a good snack. I like to have two packets of crisps, 6 small yoghurts, 1 large dairy milk, and lots of peparamis(?) each day. However, my body is growing so i do not tend to put too muvh weight on from this. Before, when i was 6 or 7 i was quite the chubby child as i just ate so much. However, now i like to have all the food i can eat because it is very unlikely that it is going to make me fat.

I'm guilty of OVER SNACKING lol if there's ever such a word. I take snacks almost every time I get the chance to. And I take them in all forms - be it healthy or not. I eat bread, chips, fries, noodles, chocolates, milk, coffee, almost anything at all, and I take them in like shifting schedules so I don't lose my appetite. But I don't let my figure down. I also eat healthy meals from breakfast to dinner. I'm lucky I don't really get fat or don't gain much weight regardless of my eating habits. Maybe because aside from thinking too much, I also move much. Even when we can all just sit down at the office, doing the paper work and everything, I don't let myself do so. I try to regularly stand up, get something myself, drink, go to the bathroom,etc. without causing delay in my work. I also take the stairs when going to the office which is on the fourth floor of the mall, though we may use the elevator. But my husband and kids don't know this, it's my little secret. :( My husband will definitely lecture me if he learns about my regular snacks, and to think they're not always healthy! I think I got them when I was still studying and I did not want to bother myself preparing meals so I just take frequent snacks as substitute. You're right though, that it affects our appetite on the major meals that we should take and most common snacks are unhealthy so we must try to change our habit. This serves as another reminder for me....

I don't eat snacks often. I eat snacks only when i am at home watching a movie or some sports event.I really like to keep munching something while i enjoy the show. I have three meals a day but i never skip a meal for snacks.I haven't had any problems with eating juck food at this frequency.

Oh no - hope you feel better soon!! I snack all the time. I am a mom of 2 kids and we are always on the go - so I eat when I can! I think "grazing" all day is ok - as long as we don't over eat (so as not to spoil our main meals) and the snacks are healthy ones. Eating lays potato chips all day - ok, that wouldn't be good. But sometimes I'll buy a bag of sugar snap peas - and eat them out of the bag raw throughout the day. Or baby carrots or some other veggie. There's fruits (though too much of that is not good either) or even nuts! I do think about problems that the junky snacks can cause, but sad to say I mostly think about it more than do something about it - ha ha! I'm a stay at home mom . . . so when we're at home, the fridge and pantry are close by - ha ha!

I used to work in the emergency department so we do not have a definite time for snacks. I guess we just eat whenever we can, kind of storing foods in the body. SO when a busy moment kicks in, we can all work at the same time. There are shifts when we do not have the luxury of time to eat snacks or even meals. Anyway, because I now work online, I eat two snacks a day. My eating pattern is breakfast-snacks-lunch-snacks-dinner. Sometimes, I would eat snacks after dinner. But those times are really rare.

I love having snacks but within certain limits. The ones which are oily are a big no for me as they have many times affected my health adversely. The oily snacks tend to increase the fats in your body which will subsequently affect your body.
