President Obama and Taxing the Rich

I find it interesting that President Obama now has discovered problems with the US Tax Code. In the first 2 years he blamed President Bush and the last two years he has blamed the Congress (meaning Republicans). The first two years he had total control of both houses (Republicans could not stop anything and could not even filibuster) and the White House and he had problems getting Health Care passed. He couldn't get a budget passed in three years and the first two years he spent his time fighting his own party to get the health care passed. Now the only thing he is achieving is by using an Executive Orders which some even are used to overrule the wishes of congress. He has done nothing to change the tax code. Now during the election with a poor economy he claims the answer is to tax the rich. It is estimated that his tax hike would generate enough money to pay for 8 days of government spending. He started to say we have to have to tax millionaires and billionaires then it was the top 5% (making over %175,000 a year) and now it is those making over $200,000 or $250,000 for married ($400,000 if you are not married but living together). As with any tax the government starts with tax the rich and sooner or later the tax is on everyone. This tax the rich is just a way to increase the taxes on everyone.
