I still laughing whenever I remember this question, it was a an assessment of an interviewer. I had this assessment for behavioral, the interviewer asked me this particular question, if you bumped someone, what are you going to say? I automatically said, "Ouch!" The interviewer laughed, she might be expecting that I need to ask for an apology and say sorry. I even smiled at that moment, thinking it is the normal for first reaction of a person to say it. Since I might got hurt or the other way around.lol

@Shavkat lol funny! I'm pretty sure I would say sorry and then ask if I accidentally hurt them.

Whenever I accidentally run into someone, I will always respond in one of two different ways. The first way that I might respond is to say "Excuse me." The other immediate response that I might make is to say "I'm sorry."
Of course, this does not take into account the fact that I could end up getting hurt by someone running into me. If I did get hurt as a result of it, I would probably say "Ouch."
I do have to admit that my pet peeve is when someone runs into you and then they go on like nothing even happened.

I think my first reaction would be to ask for an apology. But I still don't know, maybe depending on how much force I received from the bump, I could very well say the same thing as yours. I think the best part after the bump would be to look at the person's face and if it's something that pleases me, I guess I'll say something like, "Hey, how are you?"
