I got the Sweets replaced

Our famous ‘Rakhi-festival’ is gone; we tie threads on wrists of brothers; also friends and neighbors. On this occasion I sent rakhi along with sweets in boxes to relations and neighbors

This time hubby told me to send sweets known as ‘Kajukatri’ (see picture) ; it is made from dehydrated milk and cashew nuts with the Rakhi; I sent a servant to buy from market; he bought it at 500 rupees a kilogram; I sent few boxes.
In the morning my granddaughter Subhee tied rakhi in wrist of her brother Bishu; I gave Subhee 100 rupees on behalf of Bishu as gift.
Subhee fed sweets to all; oh my God we could than only discover the sweets had smell of kerosene!!!!!
[b]I rang the relatives and friends and begged apology.
Today I sent the servant to the shop; the owner after long argument replaced it; he kept telling; none had complained.
Ever faced anything similar while making purchases and got replacement? [/b]

There have been very few times that I have had a complaint about something that I've purchased. However, I've never had a problem getting those things replaced when I have had that happen to me. I will typically call the manufacturer of the company that I have a complaint about and they will typically send me either a complete refund if I tell them I will never use their product again or coupons for free products if I tell them that it is the first time that I have had a problem with their product.

Oh my god, kerosene. that was bad. it could have affected you. I am glad you found out early. What type of sweets they gave. you should have told the owner to eat and show in front of you. this is ridiculous. They used very cheap material and the place where they make it is unhygienic as well. avoid buying from outside. It better get a recipe and make something simple which you can make. At least you will be safe. have a good day.
