Supermarket deals

One supermarket gives out a nectar card and so it can see what the shoppers are spending and which products they buy. They have a cash till and a machine which gives out coupons to encourage more shopping. Today they gave me a spend 40 pounds and get 8 pounds off. Wow! For sure I will go shopping there next week.
Another supermarket I can do a check the prices on-line if I buy 8 or more different products. They give a money off voucher if they are not at least 10 percent cheaper than other supermarkets. I look at a website called Compare the Prices and so know if any special deals are on. I am getting some cranberry juice for 3 pounds for 2 bottles. I only have that one if it is on a special offer.
Sometimes it can be economical to bulk buy. I like it when I get toilet rolls for 5 pounds for 12 of them. If I buy a pack to 4 each time it is far less economical.
Do your local supermarkets have any good deals like coupons to encourage more shopping?
Have you ever compared prices of groceries on-line?
How many supermarkets are in your local area?
Do you ever bulk buy in order to save money and get produce more economically?

Supermarket deals rock. I am always looking to save money. Groceries are always something I should buy, but saving money is necessary. Sales give me a way to buy more for less. A sale along with coupons makes the deal even sweeter. It is hard for me to come across coupons sometimes. I actually look for coupon websites and print coupons whenever I can. Online I can find deals on items in bulk and not pay taxes, but that is going to change soon. I have quite a few supermarkets in my area. It also pays to go to a grocery store that is close and has a variety of items. It may not be cost effective as far as some items are concerned, but the price of gas is also a cost. If you can take advantage of sales, get coupons, and try generics, savings can be acquired this way if supermarkets are few and far between.

Good to hear about your shopping experience, i think you are very organized person.
Various kind of deals and offers are available while shopping. we can get this offers and deals in online and real life shopping. we will get good benefits by purchasing things with this kind of offers.
Now a days lot of people are interested in online shopping and this shopping sites are providing various gift cards, vouchers and coupon codes, we will get a lot of benefits while shopping our things using this kind of vouchers and coupons. I am interested in both online and offline shopping and most of the time i will use the offers and deals to buy things in discounted price.
Buying things in bulk also help us to save our money, some times i will buy things in bulk. Mostly i will buy soaps and shampoos in bulk manner for a year, it will help me to reduce the cost and save the money. We must be organized while doing shopping, it will help us to be economic. There is nothing wrong in buying things in bulk, but we don't have the ability to buy all the things in bulk manner, because some goods are having expiry date and they are not good after the expiry time.

Unfortunately, I currently live in a rural town that only has one supermarket. The do have weekly catalogues with specials and all, but overall the prices of things are still on the high side. Since there is no competition in my town, I guess the residents in the town have got not much choice really unless if they are willing to travel another 90kms or so to the next nearest supermarket.
This is why I normally bulk buy and stock up when there is a sale/special by the supermarket for certain grocery items. I'll have to admit that I can't finish eating many of the perishable foodstuff that I buy when it's cheap, and throw them away when it's past their use by date. Yes, it seems very wasteful, but I really can't resist buying grocery stuff when they're cheap!
I normally don't compare prices of groceries online, since I don't have the need to do so (as there's only one supermarket in my town). But in the past when I did live in a major city where there were at least 3 to 4 supermarkets, I did comparisons to get the lowest prices on items.

I like buying groceries in supermarkets specially when there is sale or promotion. I like the promotion where there is buy one and get one free or you get 10% of the product free. In this way I economize a lot. I usually buy groceries for two months and I get all the products which are on sale for two month buy in cheaper prices. I like to choose my products and specially compare the prices before buying. Last time I went to the supermarket there was a promotion on rice, if you buy a packet of 10kg of rice of a certain trademark you get a packet of milk powder in gift. Isn't it a nice deal.

Your like my wife who loves to buy stuffs that are on sale. Even though we ended up using the stuff for long time and sometimes are looking for a new replacement already. And the worst of it is that when she buys in bulk simply to get the discount rates, often times I will be the loser as I have to carryout all the stuff from grocery to the car and all the way to home. If it would be toilet paper and other lighter stuffs, then that's fine with me. But when the grocery is in bottle, then this would be the time to raise my shirt a little bit and show some muscles.

Last night we spoke exactly about this watching a movie where some people were looking for a person to rent one of the rooms in their flat and most of the people were offering to pay the rent in food coupons.
Here we don't have such practice. You can have such food coupons if you work somewhere and from your company they would like to give you a part of your salary in coupons for food. I think this is cheaper for the company, but also very good for the workers too. I know I would like to have suck coupons or also it looks like a banknote here, same size, just written the amount in money this ticket costs and which is the company giving the coupon to the person.
To me this idea sounds very good, not only because it encourage people to shop at specific places, but that way people like me who work from home, would have a chance to have a smaller or bigger part of their money away only for food. Sometimes we spend all we have for bills and expenses, we feel the freedom of having money at the moment and we spend more than we would if our budget was tighter. We feel teased of some foods, which are with higher price and it cuts our budget for next days, when I will have to cook something cheaper, just because I couldn't resist the tease of eating something more special the other day.
Here with such coupons you can buy only food and nothing else. They don't offer washing preparations, toilet paper, soap or things like that, which are also necessary, but food is the most important part. All else we buy more rare.
