People in the Philippines are now torn between two opposing parties about RH Bill, Religious Leaders were on the Anti side, while Politicians were raising their side on passing the RH Bill law made by Rep. Edcel Lagman. I am a bit confused about it.. I always believe that people has the capacity to decide whether they are going to have kids or they gonna use contraceptives. One of the protesters says that "it is against the Law of God".. But the government would say that it will be helpful to control vast population in the Philippines. For me, I always believe that EDUCATION among parents are the best key to lessen growth rate.. What are you side on it? Are you PRO OR ANTI?

Well I am more leaning towards the pro since I think it is more practical to protect the women health issues that are of concern of this law. This law will provide protection against their reproductive health issues. I believe that given the choice a woman can choose whatever is best to protect herself from unwanted pregnancies. The only thing that is lingering between morality and practicality is in the use of it. If you are using contraceptive to prevent yourself from getting unwanted pregnancy because of health reasons and for responsible parenthood then I guess there is no moral question about that. But if you are using contraceptive to avoid pregnancy because you are doing it out of wedlock, then that is an immoral act. The RH bill can both be used by the immoral and morally upright people. But that doesn't mean the law itself is bad. It is like money, it is neither moral or immoral because it depends on who uses the money and what it is for. If you have money and you use it to buy your basic needs then money is good but if you buy money to kill someone then it becomes bad, but that doesn't make the money bad or good. I think that is the same with RH bill it will depend on how a person will use it for their advantage.

Sometimes passing these bill also give us the thinking about what you've said regarding morality. Unless they utilize great information regarding Reproductive health then it would be a great help of Filipino people. I amjust hoping that if these bill will eventually regulate,I hope people would not suffer an unexpected problem about it. Maybe I am just a religious person that's why I am pro- life.

I totally understand what the pro life groups are trying to convey in their protest against this bill. But I think the law also is for life since their aim is to protect the lives mostly of the women who are the providers of life as well. If we can protect the lives of the women that gives life to us then in return it is pro life. The bill just wants that women be given a better quality of life and protection that their reproductive health.

The RH bill here in the Philippines intends to help those UNEDUCATED people especially those from the marginalized sector who do not know the true consequence of having many children. By the way, I am pro RH bill even though I am pretty religious. Educating those marginalized sector would greatly consume time and resources for the government. Also, it is not an assurance for raw education to be that successful. Marginalized people prefer having that RH bill due to its simpleness.

I understand about what you've said.. I just hope that RH bill would really be helpful in achieving what they want. And I also hope that it is not just a political agenda of government officials to gather more money from the poor.

How would the government be able to control the population with that bill? Will there be a fine or punishment of sorts to people with large families? Please explain to us who don`t live in your country.

So you believe that it is necessary to use contraceptives and pass the Reproductive Health bill just to avoid increasing number of children in a certain family?

rh bill: pro or anti? for me rh bill is good bec. it will control the family planing it will give more time or money for the family, if it only have few member, if you have large member the income will be not enough for the whole family, and it will give more attention for the children, and they will be able to send there children to school. when a large family not all family members can go to school. they will be having work to provide to there family. and rh bill is for me is giving proper education for the parents not having so many children that they can make live properly. bec. if the parents love there children they will control it so that they can send them to college bec. college here is so expensive now a days. and if only few member of the family there will be no drop outs of school. and i think is about time to make a family planing.
