I saw The Rev. Al Sharpton on Morning Joe this morning and I was shocked by his appearance. He looks very ill. In fact, he looks like he has cancer and is coming to the end of the road. he was terribly thin and it did not look like a normal weight loss. I especially noticed his neck.
I did a search on him thinking that maybe he was elderly and that i did not realize how old he is. But, no, he is only in his late 50's. I did not read anything on line about him having cancer or another serious illness.
Has anyone heard anything about The Rev. Sharpton being very ill?

I haven't heard anything along the lines of his being very ill. However, it isn't that people find out right away when they are dealing with a serious illness like cancer. For example, my husband had to fight with his doctors for over a year before they sent him to a specialist that was able to do a biopsy and find out that he did in fact have cancer. Now there is concern that one of his bosses might have another form of cancer, but they are taking their time trying to find out what is wrong with him.
It could also be that he is ill, but he chooses to keep his illness private.

I was shocked by Al Sharpton's appearance. It could be that he is trying to keep any illness quiet but that would seem impossible given his position in life. He is a bigger than life personality.
There is nothing online about his weight loss. I can not be the only person who noticed.
Whether he is ill or had stomach surgery to lose weight, I am surprised no one is noticing or saying something. Maybe he just lost a lot of weight by dieting.
