What do you do when you're dead broke?

My friend sent me a text yesterday, she can't come with us in our meeting because she is dead broke. She did miss our group though. She has been working with us in a certain event before. To be honest, I don't know what to say. Although a lot of times it happened to me but I manage to make it through the day by selling stuff at work and at home. I also manage to keep customers updated online for stuff that I am selling. This is also one good part of me but I'm sure the same remedy will work for everyone. "Selling is not for me" as some may say, but what else can they do? How do you deal with this? Were you once dead broke to the point that you can't eat or can't buy a certain stuff to live with? Tell me about it and how did you manage to cope with it. The goal in this discussion is to check for other means of making money instantly, well... aside from mylot which may take you days to weeks to claim money. Thanks.
