Sometimes, you need to call in for a sick leave rather than be a superhuman.

For those who have followed my posts and comments before from April, good job. You know well how perfect my workplaces is. Yes, workplaces; since I'm keeping 3 jobs at the same time.
Funny, when I got that darn sore eyes in the best timing of the month, I became sad. Sad because I can't stand not working. Second I thought that I'm not being paid if they will file a sick leave for me. Third, I would end up at home seeing all those problems arising between my family members.
But guess that was a right decision. Best timing indeed because when I got sick, that was after my regularization which means the company would still pay me even if I can't go to work due to sickness. I've fixed partial of my parent's dilemma at home and I've got all the ample time to watch "Claymore" and other anime series. That was running for 2 weeks.
Now, turns out to be that I was infected by some bacterial/ viral thing that made my pair of lungs weak. White blood cells rises dramatically as I was being CVC (have my blood checked) and nebulizer was somewhat a relief for me when I was palpitating and coughing a lot. The doctor told me not to push myself harder, and here I am at work still waiting for my log-in time.
I can't say that I like my job too much, since I may have a lot of issues with my boss even that I don't intended to. Inevitable things happen like I screw up ta certain processes and ended up being scolded by it. I just can't stand making that leave and earned by doing nothing and being sick. I can still work but of course I would like to stay in bed more and take that rest. And I am now thinking if I have to call in for a sick leave again rather than be a superhuman.
Please respond, guys. Thanks. Happy mylotting.

i don't see anything wrong with sick leaves. Sometimes when I'm tired working I am thinking of filing leave but then thinking again, I will have lots of work to cope up with, not to mention the reports and deadlines. So, I see to it that if I take a leave it's because I really don't feel well and not just because I hate to work. I don't want to give them the impression that I'm not physically fit to do my responsibilities.
Filing many leaves might bring bad impressions on our bosses' minds.
With your case, if you are not really feeling well, take your leave and try your best to gain your strength again.

That's my greatest fear to be honest; that when I go back at work, there you go again... and hell breaks loose from the pending task and such updates that I have missed when I was away. I want to keep myself in the work circulation so I can be at my best during work.
It took me a lot of time going back to the work flow as my mind tends to set into that "deep sleep mode"; making me more sluggish to work back and hoping that my sick leaves during those days should be extended. LOL.
But it is better than not getting any rest at all. Sometimes, we; too... need a break. Happy mylotting and hope to hear more from you again :D

Sometimes sick leave is necessary I do agree with you. A lot of times if you try to "suck it up" and go, you end up in worse condition and end up having to take even more time off because you've made things worse by trying to tough it out. It's important to listen to the warning signs our body gives us, we can burn out rather quickly otherwise.

Thanks for giving me your thoughts about it. In fact I was about to call in. But what's going to be worse is, my boss didn't let me take it.
So much for the warning signs, it got worse and now the whole team, no... everyone in the office is gone for an emergency leave. If you want to know more what was going on after this, follow my post under "Work"
Thanks a lot for being concern. I felt it and I am somewhat relieved that someone from somewhere in the internet does give a care about my situation. Happy mylotting :)
