Today when I woke up one of the first things I thought of (amoung many) was that I wanted to try to not go on Facebook at all today. This is something I have to conquer, going there sometimes up to 12 times a day even just to peek at things. I think I'm just getting too OCD with that site. Do you think I can do it? Just for today that is? I will probably rest more or do some more posting here or my other online jobs instead. I am hoping to be able to get this "goal" accomplished today and then maybe wean myself off it it later more. I think I'm just too "addicted" to that site right now. I have great FB friends though.

awe, you couldn't do it? maybe when you're really truly ready to it will happen. you have to want something really bad. in the morning, when you first get up always think of one positive thing you'd like to accomplish today and then it will happen, trust me. just say it to yourself and mean it. try this everyday with something valuable or important to you that's a positive idea. it will work out in this way, i promise. you do have to make iup your mind though to do it and be sincere about it. i have done this before with a few things. so i'm almost confident i can do it today, got through it so far until now, at 3:13 p.m. woohoo!

Well, despite Facebook, has recently taken the scepter of the site in first place in the world, my interest in it, has never been at stratosphere! I say this sincerely, I am not a Facebook-addicted! However I go regularly every day just to read some rumors that are written on the bulletin board, and then playing a video game on Facebook. Even I could do like you, or achieve the goal to spend at least 24 hours without access to the social networks. I think I can do!

Good that you're not a fb addict. It is nothing that interesting for the most part if you don't have your most closest friends on there guess. Most of mine on the list I have never even met though.

I'm sure that you can do it, I find mylot to be a great distraction away from facebook. Mylot has less drama than facebook, on facebook I find a lot of people like to post their "dirt" right on their status for everyone to read and they have no shame in doing so.

i am truly trying, i knew how hard it would be though. it is killing me to stay off of there. just now took a photo of something and want to post it on my timeline, and can't argh. but everyone will live if i don't post it, even me. i do know that some people post too much of their business on their statuses, one lady in general that i really don't know too well only goes in once or twice a month and it usually is always something negative about how someone (but never says exactly who it is) is treating her. always playing the victim, in her case.

Yes, you can do it. Just try to control yourself from logging in. I was so addicted in Facebook before but now I seldom log in there. I prioritized myLot so I was able to forget Facebook. I just log in there if I have to greet my friends during their birthdays and if I have some pictures to upload. If you really mean it, you can achieve your goal. Happy myLotting!

I am trying very hard now, I am there usually at least once by now most days but haven't touched it yet. I hope thats a good sign. I want to try to get the site otu of my mind for awhile. I am a birthday greeter too and almost never miss anyone birthday unless they never say it to me. I have uploaded all my pix there for awhile too, and they're really not that interesting anyways.

I have found that no matter when I am on Facebook, I tend to not come on here or chat to friends on the phone. Just of late there have been lots of people starting arguments on there and then other people tend to join in. I feel that there are more people on there to start aruments, than to talk to each other. I do have a lot of friends that are on there and there are also groups that I go on that are great, but every now and then I get bored of all the people that are on there just to cause trouble for others.

oh i stay out of the arguments, there's nothing worse than those. i dislike to get int them in any shape or form. today i was accused of starting one in person when i was just talking, and the person doing the accusing starts more arguments than anyone else i know. ugh, double standards are the biggest problem i have with some. i think that people who cause trouble just don't know how to communicate with others, in general. they thrive on the trouble, their pathetic lives are so boring unless something is in a traumatic kind of state. i have had relatives like that, one or two of them.

I strongly believe that if you put your heart and soul into accomplishing this challenge, you would be able to to do it, although I see no reason for trying to do so. Facebook is a very useful and addictive site at the same time, it allows you to get up to date news, connect yourself with your friends, and even allows you to de-stress yourself through various medias. Maybe you could cut down your usage instead of cutting yourself off entirely for Facebook. Whatever your choice is, I wish you all the best and success in what your want to achieve. Cheers! :)

It seems like I have so far been good with this today, not so sure later when I get the last urge to see what's been happening on there, that will be the ultimate test. Most of the time I just chime in on some statuses here and there and post happy birthdays or some jokes and funny photos anyways. I did help a few people with things the other day though and gave them some free goodies via web sites.

I'm addicted to the site myself. However, I've found that if I get on here and look for discussions, it helps to kind of "ignore" it for awhile. I've in the past used meebo.com to im my friends via facebook, that way I'm not addicted to everything else and yet can still chat with them. Good luck. I think you can do it. There are plenty of great things to respond to here and I am sure plenty of tasks at your other online jobs.

Ye, it is helping me somewhat. I want to make more money so I feel it is a big distraction to me sometimes in getting between my goals. I've not heard of meebo.com but I don't IM anyone, just check on my wall, etc alot. I will have to find out what meebo is though, lout of curiosity , but not today. So far I'm behaving myself and not been there and it's almost 10:30. :-D
