Did Obama actually goto Columbia for college?

I am seeing a lot of articles lately that indicate Obama MAY be hiding something about his Columbia college days. This article is from a guy who had the EXACT same major as Obama and graduated in the same year! Google this: Obamas college classmate wayne root

A search took me to Snopes: http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/columbia.asp I also found this: http://factcheck.org/2010/02/obama-at-columbia-university/ The whole story is a pack of lies!

I read a similar story.. The author states that he never saw Obama - NOT ONCE - even though they attended the same classes for the same major for the same year! The author also states that nobody he spoke with who also attended Columbia at the same time knew of or saw Obama. Similarly Fox News asked 400 Columbia graduates from 1983 (the year Obama graduated) and NONE of them knew of Obama. Strange....
