Houses are threatened from the big fire and the villages were evacuated..

A fire started today near my city. Because of the strong wind, it's threatening the houses and 3 villages were evacuated immediately. The fire still burns the forest and it's probably going to continue during the night but the wind is not so strong any more and I hope the firefighters will be able to control it tomorrow. This fire reminded me of the enormous and catastrophic fires in my country in tha year 2009 that burnt down many villages in my area and generally at the south part of greece. I wasn't at my hometown then but I was really worried because my parents were here. My friends told me that the sky was red from the multiple fires all around the city. This time I can see the smoke from my balcony, it's burning the other side of mountain that I see from my house. I hope we won't have a disaster like this again and the fire department will be able to bring more people and resources and control it soon.
