Due to the Presence of Material Things, We Almots Forget to Pray

hi, there are many people who are like that now a days,because for them the most important is the money and other material things,but when we observe most of poor people now a days are the people who always pray,why they almost forget to pray when they are rich.

that's really the greatest problem now that most people overlooked. they do not realize that if only God is their very priority then every thing will be at it's right place. they worry too much about those temporary things in this world that they neglect to check on the most important person that will lead them to eternal salvation.

That depends on someone's faith/religion and one self. If you belong to a faith/congregation that motivates every members to pray everytime they got the chance to pray- then, it becomes habitual. Yes, habitual in the real sense- as if something is missing without saying a little prayer. Prayer is talking with HIM- and not a prayer memorized or written by other people to recite. Prayer comes from the heart according to your faith and what you feel deep within.

Hi aira, what you said is true. This maybe what the bible (2 Timothy 3:1-5) refers to as the 'last days' where people will become lovers of money and pleasures rather than lovers of God. Like you said, people tend to focus so much in acquiring wealth. I have to say I am also guilty of it. The saddest part about it is that I am aware of God's teachings and what He requires from us. I do not really want to justify my actions but it is really hard to live nowadays. I guess that I lack spirituality. I do pray everyday and never forget to thank God through Jesus Christ for all the blessings and guidance. But I still feel that this isn't enough because I know that I can give more. I guess that with time management, setting goals and continuous bible reading and praying, I will be able to enhance my spirituality and could make God as the center of our lives.

Yeah. He is the reason why we have all the material things. I've been very forgetful before and not always praying. Since I realize my fault, I know we need prayers for everyday of our lives. From then on, I pray constantly because it has been my comfort zone and it gives me peace.
