She filled my daughter's water bottle with water from the faucet --- arghh!

Oh my gosh! I can't believe she really thinks that water from the faucet is drinking water.
I'm talking about the new nanny. It's her first time to prepare the kid's stuff for school and good thing, I had the chance to supervise. My kid could have gotten stomach problems if she got to drink that water from the kitchen faucet. I told her to clean the bottle and fill it with drinking water. And, I didn't think she would end up using water from the faucet in it.
Water from the faucets, here, are not safe for drinking, and I believe it is true for all areas in the country. That is why sterilized and distilled mineral water are being sold everywhere.
She can't be that ignorant, when she has already worked for other households in the city.

If I needed to remind the person about the same thing over again, then it's really high time to just let go of them. Especially if that task or instruction involves the safety of our health and lives.

THere are other people who would use boiled water for drinking. But, I don't like the taste of it. So, we buy drinking water every week.

Yikes, that's pretty bad if she doesn't know it's not safe to drink from the faucets of her own country. Good thing you were able to catch her doing this and I hope you showed her where to get the good drinking water from.
I drink from the faucet in my house all the time but I know that the water where I live is safe to drink. It's probably not as good as bottled water, but to me it's just fine lol

Did you explain to her that the water isn't to be given to your daughter by way of the faucet or tap water? I would not drink that here either. I used to get bottled water but then I heard it helps contribute to things like ovarian cysts ( perhaps) so that instantly turned me off of it as I had one the size of an orange that I had to have taken out which was a nightmare for me. I now take the faucet water and boil it for 10 minutes on the stove in a big pot, then wait til it cools and drink that.

Well, it was a drinking bottle for school. I told her to clean it and fill it with water for my daughter. I couldn't be any clearer than that. Also, I just found out that she filled 2 pitchers of tap water. My husband noticed an odd taste on his glass of water.
Earlier, after that water bottle incident, I asked her if she happened to fill the other pitchers with water from the faucet, and she denied.
Well, she lied! What the heck!

I think that nanny is not good, in front of you she was so ignorant then what can you expect in your absence. take care.

Exactly! I was really glad that my 2month old baby was sleeping that time, so I had the chance to supervise her activities.
But the problem is gone, now. She asked to go home tomorrow because her cousin who is the nanny of our neighbor was fired. Oh my!

First of all, good for you for having a new nanny. Secondly, I'm sorry to hear you have to "babysit" and "train" yet again another set of hands. I know how tedious it can be when you have to do things over again after doing the same from your previous nanny. Thank goodness you were there when it happened. At least now you know that until you have taught her the "basics", you cannot just leave her and your kid by themselves for a while.

You know, just an hour ago, she just told us that she needs to go back home -- darn!
Her cousin who is our neighbor's nanny was fired, so she wants to go with her. Just my luck!
I'm about to give up looking for a nanny, nowadays.

Don't worry a little bit of faucet water isn't going to kill anyone. No water is very a 100% good for you they put stuff in all the water all of the time even the ones from bottle water. They put chemicals and stuff in both. Yes some faucet water is worse then others but in the end everything you put in your body is just going to kill you.
