Has anybody ever watched any sports in the special olympics?

I will start out saying my son has special needs he was a slow learner like I was when I was younger and my son is 21 years old now and he lives on his own and he comes to see me once a month well last weekend he came to visit me and he said mom I got a softball game to go to this weekend anyways his team won and now we are going to state and thats such a big deal for him that we are going to go with him and cheer all the team mates on I am so proud of all of them.

That is terrific. I have special needs. When I was younger, I used to do wheelchair races in the Special Olympics. I hope your son has a wonderful time.

I have not watched any sports in special olympics and I know you must be proud of your son. All the best and enjoy. have a good day

I haven't actually seen any sports in the international Special Olympics, but I have to admit that this is something that I would like to be able to see at some point in my life. However, when I was in school, I had a really good friend that was special needs (she was physically disabled) and when it was time for our local Special Olympics I was one of the first people in line to volunteer for that because of the fact that I loved Jana so much and wanted to help her and her friends out. It really was something else to see because there were so many people with such a wide variety of special needs. I've lost touch with Jana now, but I'm wanting to start doing some volunteer work again and I might have to look into the local division of Special Olympics because that experience made such an impact on me.
