I found a new love! Handball!

I haven't been watching the Olympics at all. I don't really like watching sports at all. I can play them but watching them I don't know what it is but it's like reading a book I fall a sleep. I can watch them at any time right now at the hospital they are playing day and night here on the TV but I don't want them just flip to another stations. Hubby keeps me updated by looking things up on his phone which is fine with me. I know the US soccer team beat Japan so they got the Gold in soccer.

I know! It's crazy how it can get addictive. I've actually gotten into watching table tennis, which makes no sense to me. I'm used to just seeing people play that during family reunions, but their reflexes are so fast my mouth gapes. And the tension is unbelievable. Who knew one could get so wrapped up in a sport like that? I do have to say though. If handball, table tennis, and motor cross are in the Olympics, softball should be too! Shame on the IOC for getting rid of it.

Hand ball at least the female version of it is quite interesting. I usually follow it at the Olympics. BTW, my company Siemens has a very good female handball team. Currently we are second in corporate Handball championships. Cheers! Ram

Well...it's about time ice hockey and basketball hooked up. I haven't adopted a new sport but I did watch quite a bit of the Olympics. I was a little tiffed that everything I wanted to watch was coming on so darn late though..lol.

I've been watching the highlights of the olympics on and off. The other night, sportcenter had a top 10 of memorable moments in the London Olympics. One of the featured moments was a handball game between France and Spain(I think). It does look exciting! I think you nailed it on the head with 'none of the wasted time'!

I'm American too, so we obviously don't get to see very much of this sport at all on the coverage we get since our handball team majorly sucks/doesn't compete. However, when I read about it before the Olympics, I thought it sounded intriguing. I haven't had a chance yet to watch a game to see if it's as good as it sounds, but from your description it's what I thought it was. I will see if I can find time to watch the gold medal game replay sometime tomorrow.

i am not a sports lover, but I do understand finding a new interest that one would not expect to have. it's always great to keep an open mind as you dd You never know when something great will pop up.

You are really a sports fan. And therefore you will be interested in many new sports. The handball is still a new sport for me and even there was no broadcast from TV this time. I remember I started to like watching the softball since the Olympics in Sydney. As the time was suitable for me to watch it, so at that time I watched quite a lot of different games. And then I liked watching softball, too. Even if it is still a very new and unpopular sports here. I love China

I was watching the Chinese and Japanese girls playing table tennis the other night. I think athletes this good could make ANY sport look fabulous!

Dear Sarah, There things are very common there day people once see people playing game and start to play that game too and sometime they become so good in it in a very short time that people dont even beleive that they are begginers .. Ans yes it has happend to me before I regually go to Snooker with my Cousin but never play that game I go there so i could easily talk over my phone with my girl but when i see some Experts playing that game i really get impressed that guy was national champion whome game I was watching and then he asked that you play I said no , he said want to learn how to play i said why not so he tought me the game and i am not very much into this game and most of the people says the footwork and positions of mine are really good I could give professionals a tough time in upcoming years .. But it will took time until I get more Experience and learn the trick shots and all that things .. So it was the game that attract me really quick .. Happy Mylotting
