I was done work about 30 minutes early, I had to walk about 30 minutes to work, and then back to my car. They are having the local festival and the main street was blocked off. I got out, and walked half way down the street. The floats, and such were turning down this one road, and they wouldnt let anyone cross.
I ended up standing there watching the rest of the parade, until I could cross the street then walk to rest of the way. I walked real fast so I could beat the crowd, to get out of town.

I tend to think that inconveniences like this is something that you do have to deal with when you choose to work inside of a city or when you live somewhere in a city.
Yesterday we were going to my mother's house because my nieces were really missing my children and they wanted Kathryn and Paul to come and play with them. Well, they were having an annual 5K downtown so it ended up taking us almost and hour to get the six miles from our house to my mother's house because of the fact that most of the streets in downtown were closed for the event.

Well that was a bit of an annoyance but I take it you did get out of town before the crowd started to disperse...
Sometimes it is nice to take time to smell the roses.

That's a difficult annoy! I'm very frustrating when I get in that siatuation! So, if I get in that situation, I will turn some another way to find the way can go quick. If there aren't any way I can go home, I will do something like drink coffee, go to book store or park...
