3 days ago, I woke up early, around 5 am and i heard cat's meowing...A mother cat was sitting near me..then i went to find out where it is. I saw a yellow cat lying on a basin that i leave in a balcony and he did meowing a lots. He was hungry, i guess...and i called and tried to touch him. He is friendly to me and rub his body to my hand as if he knows me long long time...Hmmm...He is cute but dirty and very skinny...
Right now he always turn back to get food 3 times a day but he doesn't stay in my house as a mother cat. I am happy to feed him, i don't want to see him being skinny more...

Aww that's nice of you to feed the cat. It's not nice when you can see them so skinny either so it's nice that someone is looking after him. He is a lucky cat to have you close by

Yes, i have no idea to keep him but whenever he needs food and back to my house, he is welcome. I feed him together with a mother cat whenever he goes back. It is nice when see he is full after eating.
In fact i have no idea to keep a mother cat in my house also because i was not her owner but right now she sticks to me as a tail, always around me, get in my room to sleep and rarely go out...

Yes, then it is a big problem also...because i have to bring her to my hometown later when i move. I really don't want to see her being hungry when i am not in Vietnam for long. but my mom cares many cats already.(5) and later when a mother cat gives a birth, i really don't know how many kittens will be born.
Luckily a yellow cat is male, then he won't have kittens later...just feeding him is ok...

Well that must be because you are the kind cat lady who will feed them so mother cat loves you back by keeping you company and staying close to you

I wonder if the cat belonged to someone? Usually street cats (feral cats) do not warm up to people, even when they are hungry. We have had several outside only cats that we have fed over the years.

Sedel1027. You remind me of two wild cats I have in my backyard. The one mother cat that I feed was definitely somebody's house cat. She always rubs up against me and "meows." She now comes into the house. There is another cat that I see sometimes. It has a white nose. What angers me is that it used to have a blue collar around its neck. Apparently, somebody removed the collar. I can't afford to feed it although I've tried sometimes. Now, during feeding time, the cats I feed attacks it whenever it comes around.

I don't mind about it, i just feed him only because i pity him.
A mother cat i care now was like that, i just feed her food and many time i told her go to find her owner but she stays in my house for long now, always sleep in my room whole day time and knock my door at 5 am. If one day she can find back her owner then i am still happy because i just like to feed her only, don't want to see her skinny.

watch out or you will become the cat lady/or guy of your area. didnt see if you are a guy or girl on your profile but had assumed you are girl? before coco, i was the cat lady in our town and everyone knew if they dropped a cat on my door step, i had to feed it rather then watch it go hungry
i moved and gave all them away first, then got coco and havent had a place alone of my own since.

I was looking around MyLot topics and saw your cat discussion. You remind me of me. When I moved here two years ago, I saw that the lady downstairs was feeding some cats. When I saw the kitten and how the male cat treated it, I started feeding it. Soon, I was feeding a group of four (the mother, dad, kitten, and Scaredy cat). Scaredy cat was getting skinny and losing his hair. Now, after two months, he looks healthy. Two months ago, the mother cat had two kittens. Then a month ago, I saw three more newborns! I've been buying cat food and feed them twice a day. I can't afford more. With the two new kittens, I have made the rations smaller for the other cats (except the cat I look out for.) I'm wondering what I will do when the three kittens grow up and start coming around for food. And I'm going to have to get mother cat spayed or neutered because I can't afford any new kittens.

I understand. A mother cat i care now used to have 2 kittens and i had to spend them to my hometown, my mom care them with my cat, Noo. Currently a mother cat is pregnant and i guess she may have 3-4 kittens since her stomach is so so big. It is my concern also because i will move to Korea soon and i can't care them all. I guess i have to bring them to my hometown and my mom cares it, but currently she care 5 cats already: my cat Noo, 2 kittens, my sis cat Lily and her cat Sujin.

Poor cat. Luckily, he met a nice person like you. Now he is a happy vagrant cat . I can see that you are a kind-hearted person. Our world is full of happiness and love because of the persons like you. Thanks for sharing.

hihihi, I feel pity whenever i see skinny cats/dogs...that's why i want to feed them. You know a mother cat is adopted also, before she was thin and dirty, not much hair in her head and she was very ugly..but now she is fatter and very cute, hairs are back on her head and clean also. I love to see her current appearance.
I hope with a time, a new cat will be fatter, not skinny more.
