best responses in mylot - a little award but a heavenly touch :)

i started a discussion about who got the best responses and that how it will affect to your performance or earnings. i know some informations about it and i am glad to the person who shared his expertise about this one. well, something was being formed in my mind about this thing so i asked myself, "Why not choose the best answer from the participants of your discussion?" maybe through this, everyone might give their best thought upon the matter being given. so they will strive harder to contribute their thoughts happily and brainstorming themselves what to express to participate actively and sensibly in whatever form they can muster. i should start this kind of scheme and i will see how this one will go.

I have seen very old discussions where no best response was ever selected. I think the senior members of mylot mostly do select and also give +'s for responses. I think that many newer users don't read the FAQ/guidelines and don't select best response or use the +. If I'm reading responses and I see what I think is a good one I will + it. And if I find a discussion that I think is good I will rate that also. That's just my pov.

In this regard -- I have to mentioned about the senior most member of mylot. Yes. She takes responsibility to decide on best responses for her discussions. She has not been posting for the last two weeks or so. I went through her profile. I could not see any discussion of hers including the latest one she started after returning from hospital -- where best response was not selected. I felt bad that day and decided for two or three of my discussions. still i have 30+ left. i will do it.
Selecting best response motivates others. it gives us an opportunity to help others also.

hello ravi - what do you think is happening to her. maybe she is in the state of healing herself. but is she ill? if so, hope she is coping up.

Mark best response needs to be done, as a consequence start a discussion. Assess in an objective, value truth and not expect praise.
Selected as the best response, is very motivating. Especially for those who bad the English language, like me.

hyofsan - it is non of the matter sir, as long as you are expressing your thought and participating to any discussion, no one is allowed to correct the syntax of our english sentence construction. it is written in the guidelines, as i can remember. it is a violation we do it so like that. and as i can see sir, yours is not bad, for you have the will and that courage and see your participation rate of yours, you have it big compared to us. your skill is being replenished by time and by experience. i hope i can reach that level of yours, i pray. thanks sir ;)

debby - yes it is the participation that counts. for this matter is one of the prerequisite why we joined mylot from the first place aside from earning. a great opportunity for us. our skill for sure will be practice throughout time as we read, compost our own write - ups. thanks for uplifting our spirit :)

Well, for me, the option of giving the best response to a user to precisely has exposed the best ideas about the topic written by me, has always been a dilemma.
This is because very often, especially when asking questions directly, many people could answer correctly, but the best response can only be assigned to one user.
There are, in my case were very few occasions that I have given this honor, usually (and therefore I would say always) I never check the best answer to anyone. However I make a comment on the comment, more or less to all the people those who commented on my thread.

it is hard to choose eh? more if the answers are closely related and refined. but you are clever enough to manage thus stuff. commenting would be appreciative too and a safe way, in this you are just being fair to all who joined into your discussions. thanks :)
