define beauty

if were you, how would you define beauty? do you find beautiful people according to their type of skin, height, glossy hair, innate beauty (behavior, wisdom, character etc.) body feature, shape of their face or how do you able appreciate beauty?
for me, i can find her beautiful innately, when one has a good behavior or character. even one do not have have a good physique or outside appearance as long as one must know how to upbring himself to any situation like facing around with people; dealing with them and the way he moves showing confidence and a firm person. that is a superb beauty for me. to you, how would you like to define it? ;)

all said and one each of us like people with a particular shape of face--expressions. God is very efficient. He has made 7.20 billion people mostly different faces. great. Apart from good dressing positive thinking and positive behavior coupled with smile is what I call "beauty".

. from now on i will smile so that i will radiant the day. :)
we have the same point of view about beauty. behavior counts with me most. his behaviour towards dealing with people, helping others, the way the person moves and etc. are traits which attracted me to like the one. thanks sir :)

welcome to mylot. inside beauty cannot be seen but experienced. you are from which country? please post lengthy responses--say at least three or four lines. is that ok.
People form south india we consider girls dressed in saree, chridhar with tilak on their face as beautiful.

Many people say ,that inner beauty is most important, i feel very good when i hear such things, but in reality, people see the outer beauty or appearance first, they wont bother about how we are, from inside, all these are jut for the saying purpose. In south India we still follow the same old tradition while we go to see a girl for marriage , how she dressed ,how she walks , oh a lot of stuff, i am not complaining about our tradition ,i love our tradition and culture, but still we need to change some of the things.

hello prinshella, sir ravi is correct. we, newbies like should not be offended when someone would tell us things to do from the old members here. it is just for own good and welfare. they are just being concerned to us though it is not our obligation to carry us over to gain what we want in here but we must be thankful that somehow aside from reading the guidelines and faqs they are also a great help for some clarification because of the length of time spending in mylot and the experiences made them credible for giving us some advises. welcome to the club and enjoy your time spend here. ;)

Everyone have different perspective to define beauty. For me beauty is not according to color or makeup. It is something like confidence level, their way of talking, their behavior with colleagues or elder and what they think about life or called as attitude.

Beauty is beautiful inside and out. I don't go for physical attributes. I prefer a good attitude character than being beautiful.

more likely to that. beauty outside is a good attribute for a person to have but having a good attitude would be most best rather than that. a beauty that cannot be rotten throughout times and the most countable as we aim to have an eternal life.

Beauty besides being good looking, is the content of your heart. How you treat people around you, how you act in life. Beauty is not easy to define, everything and everyone can contain beauty depending how you look at it.

As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is and will always be subjective. There may be a standard beauty as set by beauty pageants and the like, I still believe that beauty depends on the one who looks at you. So whenever I hear a mom says to her child that she is beautiful, I may not necessarily agree with it, but I believe that it is true for her. For me, I can say someone is beautiful when she is physically beautiful. But I also see someone beautiful if she has this bright personality. The goodness of ones heart can make someone really really beautiful. The people I love are the most beautiful in this world for me.

Is something pleasing to the eyes in the physical plane. But beauty should not only be skin deep as this will fade by the passing of years. What's lasting is beauty from within which makes the person radiates physically and inspire the people around him.

ah huh... beauty from within means your innate good behaviour. as a human we cannot avoid to be attracted with what we saw in a human's physical attributes. it is normal for us to feel that way. but right at that, true beauty is good when it will last to eternity. ;)

For me beauty is behavior, not the way people look. I never say - this person is ugly, the other one is beautiful. I always say this person is charming, the other one still hasn't learn how to use his skills or probably hasn't discovered them.
Doesn't matter how we look in total, I mean doesn't matter what are our shapes. Important for me is what efforts we put to give the best of ourselves.
I don't use the word beautiful for other things than something made by the nature. Like - look, this sunrise is very beautiful. Or also - this baby cat is so cute and sweet. Only the nature for me is beautiful.
Our skills in being better or worse people make us look the way we are. If we are able to speak, if our spirit is positive, if we are giving a hand to someone who needs without back thoughts, we are having this magic deep in us acting like magnet for the others.

there are people that they haven't been blessed with physical look but they are equally charming to the people with pleasant appearance. it is because of the way he brought oneself by projecting or the charisma more if this person is fun to be with and easy to deal with. a man with good self esteem would make himself a handsome too. my boyfriend is not good looking. but i like his wit and his attitude, well the most probable character i want in a man would be like that because i know i am secure with him. oh base on me and my thoughts and as i knew him inside as well.

Well, when you meet for the first time in strangers, initially (perhaps unfortunately!) Is the eye lead the way for.
We must say: what is beautiful, that one is ugly, and so on!

Never just stop there!
What the eye can see is just the appearance of the person, and it takes are a few fragments of a second to give a positive or negative judgment.
A person may look good but not much inside, or vice versa.
Actually, when you frequent a person apparently not physically beautiful, but she knows how to speak well is wise, is a person of the heart, etc.. of its non-physical beauty, you almost did not even notice it!

i really like your answer. it still derives with my thought as it is but stated it differently and uniquely. well to say, beauty depends on the eye of the beholder. and that beauty maybe appreciated based on the seeker on what a person wants to see in a person. if one is fond seeing this type of beauty, naturally he want to seek this kind to the person one is facing. surely, he will be glad when can find what he want to observe and see and i guess complain when he will not be able to see what he wants to see.

If we are discussing beautiful people...
I find beauty in people who radiate their light. People who smile and who allow me to see their spirit are beautiful, to me.
These same people always have beautiful eyes even if they don't wear make-up.

i think beauty is a feel, if you like and you are willing to stay with someone and you feel comfortable, you like someone, then someone can be called beauty. of couse, if someone have a good height and skin, we will say they are beaty, but for me, a good physique is important for me

hmm... interesting... i want to have a good physique too. it will make a person beautiful. when you are confident with yourself then your actions will fit into it and whether you like it or not it will show normally and naturally. that is what it plays like that. thanks :)
