Hi Mark, I believe that it is okay to eat less at night. I always hear people saying that we should minimize our food intake at night so I don't think you need to worry about it. As for me, I usually eat a lot during dinner because it is the only meal of the day that my husband and I can eat together. We really do not have an everyday menu. If it is cold and raining, I might cook beef stew. If it's just a regular day, it can be grilled pork chop or chicken omelet. I can't really say since we don't usually stock meat at home, only canned goods. We go to the market almost everyday.

MAnty eat their main meal at lunch time and a smaller meal in the evening. I am told it is healthier. Personally I eat my bigger meal for supper as that is when my hubby and I can sit and eat a meal together. We are overweight and that is probably why. If you feel good going to sleep and sleep through the night you are probably doing good. But you should not skip breakfast though.

I think your biggest meal should be your breakfast are lunch . And if your watching your weight then that would be the obvious choice but a person with fast metabolism will not have that worry . Changing your diet might actually put on weight instead of losing weight . I rather eat fresh fruits at lunch time and with my dinner I would eat lots of food and vegetables at night with my dinner . Avoiding certain food can cause weight gain . You are doing okay keep it up .

I was used to eat a big meal but since I have had my second baby, I want to get back in shape as fast as I can so I try to do a smaller portion dinner at night so I won't go to bed way stuffed.

I have read in newspapers and magazines that eating a lot during dinner time is not a good things. That is mainly my problem. I do eat a lot during dinner time. When I get off work at 6pm, I feel very tired. I wanted to sleep but I can't sleep when I am hungry. I don't eat afternoon snacks due to busy work schedule. I can't help myself eating big meal during dinner. I am so worried that I get fat or die in my sleep as what others are saying about eating a lot before bedtime.

I don't think eating smaller amounts at dinner is a big deal as long as you're getting sufficient nutrients at some point during the day. Typically dinner time is my big meal of the day, I don't typically have much of an appetite at breakfast or lunch.

I just eat all the time, big or small, but if I eat small, chances are, I am still hungry. Even if I eat a big meal, it is only a short period of time before I am searching for food again. Lately, I have been eating big meals before I go to bed, and wake up hungry in the middle of the night, and hungry again in the morning. Even if I deliberately stuff myself full, it doesn't take long for me to go back in the search for more food. And this is with heavier food, so eating smaller meals or lighter food doesn't even cut it. I had no idea the human body could burn so much food, and need so much fuel. If one were to say that I eat like a horse, it would be a gross understatement. I think part of this is coming from going back into weightlifting and growing again so the bottomless appetite is coming back, but even deeper. Truthfully, I like that I can pig out, and not get full.

As much as possible I eat less for dinner and I preferred to eat more every breakfast which gives me energy for the whole morning. I am not fond of fatty food because I want to maintain my weight and to be healthy. Also eating less during dinner because makes me feel good and help me to sleep tight without worrying to gain weight, it is better for me to eat less and drink warm glass of milk during dinner for better sleep.

I eat big dinners at both times. HAHA. I am a growing girl and I need a lot of food. I really like eating too. But on dinner time, I tend to eat lesser rice or lesser carbohydrates so I won't get fat. But I will not limit myself. If I want to eat then I eat. If I am do not want to eat, then I don't. Happy mylotting.

Dieticians advice to eat less at dinner and the best foods are fruits. It is because our system are not working and can't burn more foods at night since we are only sleeping.I practice not to eat foods with much carbohydrates.I just eat fruits at night with a cup of warm mlik to help me get to sleep easily.

I think you're doing it right. I personally don't really eat 'big' meals, I prefer eating lots of smaller meals through-out the day, but I have a bad habit of snacking and night when I'm bored.
