Contact lens off position, it hurts

I always put on contact lens when I go to work. Yesterday while I was in the part - time job, my left eye felt a bit itchy, so I might get fingers to scrape it a little. Unpredictably, I also move off position of the contact lens. It might move up to the corner of the iris. I hurried to the bathroom, and try to adjust the position back to normal or took it out in front of the mirror. But it hurts me when I tried to get my finger to take it out. Probably my fingernails are long. For 10 minutes, it was useless, and I have to get back to work. For over 8 hours, I felt uncomfortable with my left eyes, but I can't do anything about it. Luckily, I can still see with my right eye. Until I got home at night, I have to spent 20 minutes to get the off - position contact lens out, and it hurt my eye a lot too. Gosh, I like to use contact lens, but when it off - position, it just not as good as I think it is.

When I'm still wearing contact lenses I don't let my finger nails get too long coz it might damage the lenses and even my eyes when accidentally have to poke with it. Try to put some eye drop to get back into place.

Lyn, my sister had tried to put some eye drop but of no use. At last, she still need to use her fingers to arrange and taking out the contact lens. Luckily, she didn't hurt much her eye only that her eye gone sensitive and turned reddish.

My grandson had this problem 3 months ago; he later got infection in one eye, now he is using glasses only, is happy, contact lens needs maintenance and are costly too. Thanks for sharing. CHEERS

King, because of this same reason, my sister had decided as not to wear any contact lens anymore. Now, she prefer to wear glasses more than wearing contact lens. It is really dangerous if we are not taking good care of it. It might hurt and harm our eyes. Better stay safe than feel sorry later on is useless.

That sounds a bit uncomfortable! Is it still bothering you? After that ordeal, I would be getting a vision test. hope your eyes are ok! Maybe glasses?

I keep thinking about getting contact lenses, but this is one of the issues I have. I can't stand things in my eyes or anything and if the contact annoyed me I wouldn't be able to handle it, I feel so bad for you.
