I first heard of Twilight when my friend recommended it for my readings. She knows I love fantasy novels. What endeared me to the novel is that it caters not only those who enjoy vampire novels but to romantics as well. It was staged in a typical but complicated love story, revolving on the eternal love between the vampire named Edward Cullen and a simple human named Bella Swan and how they overcome every obstacle. From learning and accepting the existence and complications of vampires and werewolves, Bella Swan entered the supernatural world lay hidden among the façade of normal society. Along the way, she fell in love, broke her heart and broke other people’s heart just like in any typical love story. Who wouldn’t love the triangle between Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and Jacob Black? Apart from the rivalry for Bella’s love, Edward and Jacob also highlighted the conflict between vampires and werewolves. A rivalry echoed in several vampire novels and movies. Stephanie Meyer wrote them in such ways that you will both be enthralled and fell in love at the same time. It was a perfect mix of romance and the thrill of the supernatural.

I read the books before the movie came out and I remember there were only a few people I knew of that read them. After hearing good things about it from people I decided to pick up a copy one day when I was buying my books for summer reading. I instantly fell in love with the story and I was hooked. I probably read each book in about 2 days, that's how much I loved them. For me, it was a good mix of a few genres. I liked the whole vampire and werewolf thing and I also liked the relationship and love aspect of the book. It was a good mix to me and I really like the books. However, I am a bit disappointed with the movies but I still like them anyways just because I loved the books so much lol.
