When I was 13 I was a happy boy. I had a great life (I still do), and I always wanted to be like both of my grandfathers, they were great in every aspect! I was always very happy to see them and spent a lot of my time with them. We rode with the bike, went to playgrounds, etc. It was realy great! But then when i went to highschool a grandfather died, and it felt like something died with me. I had lost one of my best friends, one that would always play / talk with me. A few months passed by and i was starting to feel a little bit better, when my other grandfather had a tumor. i was still pretty young so I didn't completely understand at first. They decided to perform surgery, but it was going to be a difficult procedure and they weren't sure wether he'd make it. So when he made it, we were so happy that he was cured. But he needed some time to recover since they had to operate his brain (it was a brain tumor) and he got an incubator in his throat so he couldn't speak very well. A couple of days later they had to operate him again because there was a minor problem, nothing big... we were told there was no risk. But when they put him on the operation table my grandfather got a heart attack and the doctors were unable to save him. Once again I was devestated and it took some time to recover. But as time went on I started to feel better. But 'till this day I still miss them and wonder how it would be if they would still be here. But i learned something from this experience, I believe you should live every moment like it's your last and try to enjoy life as much as you can while you still have the privilege to have it and it got kind of my "hakuna matata". So how about you guys? any big impacts on your lives you would like to share?

When I was sixteen, in my longest summer holidays ever due to going to college the next year, I got beat up by three girls for no reason. It caused me to go into deep depression, and although I'm trying to move on and I am getting better it still haunts me and effects my every day life. In some ways I am stronger because of it though. I feel it did change my life though, and this may be a good thing in the future.

I don't have anything like you in my life, but I remember my maternal grandmother saying something to me and my siblings. whenever we used to go to her place, she will say that hurricane is come. She used to call us hurricane because we were very naughty. I still remember her for this. I have not seen any of my grandfathers. They had passed away before I was born. My Dad's mum is 90 plus and she is still there with us. thanks for sharing. have a good day.
