The number next to my name has decreased, and I am not sure why?

When I checked mylot yesterday, there was one number next to my name, and today the number is lower. But here's the thing--I haven't received any notification that my answer was deleted for such and such a reason. So I'm not sure why that happened? Is this just another mylot glitch (i.e. that the notification wasn't sent) or is this an error? Has this happened to anyone else recently? Thanks. . .

Notifications frequently do not work properly. Some people receive them and others don't and some are sent late and others not at all. It is such a variable and inconsistent problem that it is a nightmare to sort out.
If you suspect that you aren't receiving notifications, send a PM to GoAskAlice and he will pass on your problem to the tech team who will look into your individual case. Only they can see exactly what is happening.

It is morning here and I log in for breakfast - and got many notififications all regarding deletions which took place yesterday. Maybe it's vacation time and they have fewer postmen delivering the mail 
Did you know that we have not always had notifications? They were something which myLot implememnted three years ago after asking Lotters for suggestions. One of those suggestions was indeed the chance to know when and why our posts are removed and they listened and set them up

At least I am not the only one. . . I did not know that notifications are a "new" thing. I hope they start working again properly. . .

I think your discussion might have been deleted are one that you have respond to . Happen to me quite some time now , and yes you normally get a notification .

I assume that's what happened, but hard to tell without a notification. I am not crazy about the policy of deleting posts, and doing it without notifying the person is even worse.

Same has happened to me yesterday.I didn't get any notification too.May be one of my response has been deleted,but i was not informed.

It´s kinda strange. The first I thought was mylot has deleted a discussion where you have participated on. Are you sure you didnt receive a notification in your inbox?

Yes--I even checked my spam just to be sure. i thought it was kinda strange,too.
