Do you whiten your teeth? Just wondering if any of you have experienced extreme sensitivity after whitening your teeth and what whitening product did you use? I use crest white strips and they really do seem to work, I suppose the sensitivity is just a sign of the enamel wearing down? Thanks for commenting.

The leaders of the tooth whitening industry are quick to talk about all the things that make it such a great process, but they are not so quick to tell people about The disadvantages of tooth whitening. The most common of these side effects is a temporary but often significantly uncomfortable sensitivity in your teeth. This does not occur in all cases, of course, nor does it occur with all methods of tooth whitening. However, it is still something you should most certainly be aware of. In order to deal with this problem, you have a few different options. The first would be to simply wait it out and allow the symptoms to pass normally. Another method would be to use a specially formulated toothpaste that helps your teeth recover more quickly from the effects of the tooth whitening process which are the cause of the sensitivity. Another problem in the ranks of the disadvantages of tooth whitening is the occasional development of discolored spots on your teeth. My Dentist advised me not to undergo such treatment even i insist. She's honest and i trust her.

Yes I read on the box of the product that patches on the teeth that are more white than others could happen. Overall I'm happy with the outcome of the product, just waiting patiently for the sensitivity to pass now. Thanks for your input with this.
