This past few weeks always raining here in my country and I don't have a chance to do the laundry due to bad weather. I am very thankful to our laundry shop downstairs who always taking care of our clothes and washing it properly. Even though it cost us a lot but it's still fine, atleast now I have enough time to do other things without worrying our dirty clothes. Now I just need to call or text them to pick up our dirty clothes and wait to deliver it after 2 days, where its already well cleaned, smells good, neatly folded and well-ironed.

Hi Bhebelen, I also take my dirty clothes to the laundry shop because I think it is cheaper and faster than doing it by myself. Laundry service is quite booming here, the price isn't too expensive, their rate(im converting it in dollar): $0.25/kg for washing and ironing and if we laundry more than 5kg they reduce their price to $0.20/kg washing + ironing, they charge us 15 cents/kg for ironing only and 10 cents/kg for laundry only without ironing. It is cheaper than buy our own washing machine + electric + iron machine, hahaha and sometimes the hardest thing is to fight my own laziness to sit and do the laundry by myself lol.

Wow, that's cheaper than here, hope that the laundry shop here also will lessen their service fees. Thank you for sharing!

We are also very glad that we have a neighbor who is running a small laundry shop who can easily pick up and deliver our clothes when we need their services. They're just a text away, and they'd set the time when they can come. The price is not very expensive, so we can afford to get their services every 2 weeks.

That's what I thought also the time I need to get my clothes to be washed. But since I have to be frugal these days, I need to save my money from the laundry that I can also do it. Some heavy blankets and comforters have to be in the laundry shops.

I agree, better to let the laundry shop wash your blankets and comforter because it's too heavy and you might get lots of back pain if you wash them manually. thank you for sharing

That's really convenient in your part. No hassle there, no worries. You can do others things now, you may allocate those to other activities or errands that matters most. And glad to know that we are not the only one doing that.

Good for you. Here in our place in Laguna, we cannot find a laundry shop that's good enough for my husband's picky tastes. It's like he's a perfectionist and whenever I point it out to him, he says it's his right as a paying customer. In Manila though, we were able to find a really nice lady who runs a laundry shop and her work really passed my husband's delicate taste. Too bad we don't have that luxury here now. So I guess good old washer and dryer will have to extend extra hours because of the piled up dirty laundry over the past week.

Like your husband, my husband too he's perfectionist, meticulous and choosy in laundry shop. I am just glad after trying most of the laundry shop around us, he found the one who he can really trust and super satisfied to their work.

Bhebe, i seldom use laundry service since i have my ow washing machine to do the job. Besides that, it is quite expensive to use that service in my area here. I only use their service for doing dry cleaning. I don't have machine for doing dry cleaning. Is it cheap to use laundry service in your area?

Hello myfb2009, we have also washing machine with dryer but now I just want to spend more time with my husband than doing the laundry. To be honest laundry service cost us a lot but I think this is the best option during rainy season here in our country.

Laundry shops are becoming plenty. I think, the business is good, specially those around university belts and boarding houses. Though, i might say, for those who can actually manually do them, they will save some money. But for those who have the budget for it, then they can have it laundry-ed for them.

Hi dear Bhebelen14,regarding to the laundry,I wondering what is the prices of your city?In my city do some laundry cost a lot so I usually put my clothes to washing machine except the suit,I do not willing to put my suit to washing machine cause it will be crumpled. But if the laundry cost is lost and can be accepted by me I will go to the laundry shop definitely cause it will save me a lot of time and energy.

Hello skyandgrassplot the price of the laundry per kilo around $1.25 for neatly ironed clothes and $.40 for well folded clothes. For now better for me to send all our dirty clothes in the laundry shop because of the bad weather and it is hard to dry up our clothes.
