Our Family Trip to HongKong may get cancelled

We planned for a week long vacation in HongKong this coming October. I scheduled it around the semestral break of our daughter. It's the only time in the year, when she can be with us and out of the school for that length of time, and also, while rates are not too high yet. However, if my husband takes the new job offer, it won't be good for him to take a long leave when he just joined the company. He will most likely start in late September or early October. Our trip is scheduled on the last week of October. If that happens, and he can't get an approval from his new boss for a long leave, which has been planned months ago, then we'll be forced to reschedule our trip to December. While, it's good to have a vacation during Christmas season, the rates will also be very high, since its super high peak season.

Don't be too worried and sad. Let's face it any possibility to relax. God has arranged the best for us. Surely there is wisdom behind all this. There may be a better day for all.

Yeah, perhaps there's a good reason why this trip would be cancelled. I hope it will push thru somehow.

Life always goes beyond one's control,if your husband get a new job,it is definitely not good to request a long leave, but if that job you husband like it very much I think you should give up the October vacation this time and need to reschedule, actually I think if whole family can gather together that is a vacation as well, and no need must go out and have a long trip, may be you can find somewhere nearby and just pick up one or two days spend with your husband and your daughter,if you arrange it well it can be a wonderful vacation as well.

We really wanted to go to HongKong to visit Disneyland, for the first time. It has been a long time dream, and now would be the best time, because our daughter would appreciate it a lot. But, then again, the new job has to weigh more, otherwise, we won't have food on our table. So, we'd just have to postpone the trip.

I went to an interview and the employer asked if I had booked any holidays. I had told her yes I have booked a two week holiday in June. So I began at the company in May and had my holiday in June. There should be no problem if your husband tells the company of the booked trip to Hong Kong. I hope your husband will be allowed the holiday time in October. Three weeks before our trip to South America my disabled son broke his leg. I did everything I could to make sure our trip would go ahead. It was so lucky that after him being in a hip spike plaster the consultant said that this most come off. My little boy had an operation instead. We had to go to the hospital the day before our trip and the day after we got back. The travel insurance was very high due to my son's disability and his injured leg. Good luck.

That's what I also advised him. He should inform them ahead of his preplanned vacation, but if they will not let him go, then we'd be forced to reschedule. It's a new job, and he has to show his best for the first few months. He thinks its unethical to go on leave too soon. I bet the insurance was really costly due to the risk. Did your son still enjoyed the trip with only a few days of recovery?

Well, I guess there is a reason for everything. I know that there is a little disappointment but I am sure that the reason is very much acceptable. You will surely have a chance. Besides there are plenty of chances later on. What is important is the job of your husband right now which is basically your bread and butter. Though Christmas season would be more expensive to go but I am sure that you will enjoy. What better time to have a vacation during Christmas... right? Perhaps at this point in time you start making preparations, plan where your going and look for good rates so that when that time comes it would not be that expensive later on. Good luck and may you have a great vacation ahead.

I was worried because I've already booked for a two-way flight and got a good deal for that. So, if we cancel that and rebook, then it surely would cost more.
