The number of teenagers consuming tobacco products is on the rise in India. This is basically due to the easy access to tobacco products and the absence of competent laws. Ironically, the Indian government had allocated five million dollars under the ‘National Tobacco Control Programme’ to help people get rid of their addiction. India, reportedly, is the third largest producer and the second largest consumer of tobacco. Given these alarming figures, it is high time the Indian government should do something concrete to check the consumption of tobacco, especially by the teenagers. So the Indian government must think of new laws which would prevent the teenagers from consumption of tobacco products and should have to keep a strict vigil on its proper implementation. Have you any other way to suggest so that these teenagers might not be victims of tobacco products?

Yes, I agree with you; the urge must come from within and can never be imposed.
