when Brendan rodgers convince to Liverpool fans, that Daniel Agger still stay in Anfield, now Daniel agger say that plays for Barcelona is the best achievement..it is his gift if he can plays for Barcelona, but Agger say he is happy in Anfield.. the double meaning..iam not sure , what is his real aim??? Maybe want Liverpool increase his salary maybe (the short term aim) or maybe will be released for Barcelona (the long term aim).. What do you think about the transfer news of agger??

Daniel Agger wants to stay in Liverpool but would - Daniel Agger wants to stay in Liverpool but would like to play for Barcelona
My interpretation is: 1. He is happy staying in Anfield. 2. He is happy playing for Barcelona. 3. He does not want o go to Manchester City. 4. If Liverpool wants to sell, he would prefer Barcelona. 5. If Liverpool decides not to sell, he is happy too. 6. He has no control over the selling decision.

Yes, you are right, players nowadays rarely decide alone what they want to do with their careers. These sharks, the player agents, are those who always manipulate things in order to get some commissions from possible salary raises or transfers. I think FIFA and UEFA have to do something to decrease the power of these sharks, because they are harming the football a lot. These being said, like an irony, I would like to be a player agent, because I consider the ratio between work and earning is inverse, meaning that they don't work to hard and get lots of cash for doing so.

The effective agent or middle man is one who knows the who's who in the market. He also knows how to get the most benefit for his client under the prevailing market conditions. Although it seems that the reward of a successful transaction is very much more than the efforts given, the networking and the negotiation skill of the agent which that made the done deal is not something that can be accomplished overnight. It has to be accumulated over a period of time before anyone could achieve the super agent status. The bosses who pay the money and the managers who buy the player are not fools. They are seasoned veterans in the field. They are usually as good as the super agents.

I think that Agger is very satisfied with his status quo at Liverpool, but because of the pressure of his agent he has to make some fuss. This way he will obtain something which will do some benefit for his agent also and the agents are very satisfied when cash in fat commissions for somebody else doing the dirty job. Or maybe he really says what he feels, if he will be sold by Liverpool, he would like to continue his career at Camp Nou, which is a dream for almost every professional football player.

Bayern has van Buyten, Boateng, Badstuber and Dante as central defenders, but I also consider that a good defender would do some good to the team. But I don't think that Agger would solve the problems which Bayern has in the defense, I never considered Agger a world class defender. He is a tough guy, who is not afraid of nobody, but has many quality flaws in my opinion.

I actually am not sure that Agger would be a good buy for Barcelona. He is ok for a club like Liverpool which currently does not figure in the Top4 in England and does not play regularly in the Champions League. But for club like Barcelona, I think Agger would not be great. So in that sense, I am not sure why Barca is going for him. Cheers! Ram

He is an off and on player. He plays well for a week or so and then switches off for a few matches. Then he plays well for a weeks and so on. So I do not think he has that consistency for the club like Barcelona. Cheers! Ram

I think Agger transfer to Barcelona just rumors and it has ended. Agger stated intention to remain at anfield because he is happy there. Agger was preached many will leave because getting an offer from the world's best club Barcelona, Agger also revealed will be very happy if you can to Barcelona. But he said it would keep each in Liverpool, and transfer rumors has ended.

He is staying at Anfield. They won't sell him for anything less than a boat of cash, and he's happy there. Barca also don't really need a new center back...
