No poop for 3days, is just OK!

My 2 month old used to be regular in her poop schedule. She would go for 2-3 times a day. Once in early morning, another in the afternoon and again at night. But, for 3 days now, she hasn't pooped. I went for some forums on this matter, and found out that this is just normal, as babies may have consumed all that they've taken in from breastmilk, so they don't poop. And, so long as they still continue to feed and are not fussy. She hasn't been fussy or colicky, though, so I guess she'll be just fine. Do you have methods that you do to force the baby to poop?

Is your baby over the age of 6 weeks? If yes, this is reasonable. Information which I know is, as long as the baby's behavior is fine, good growth pattern, no pain or fuss extraordinary when straining (lethargic), then there is nothing to worry about.

Yeah, that was my basis. Since she didn't really fuss about it as much as she did when she was still a few weeks old. I was less worried thsi time, but still tried to let her poop by massaging her lower tummy. She already pooped on the 4th day, but the following day, didn't poop again.

i could remember my daughter before did not poop for a few days too and it got me worried.. she really cried when she pooped as it was hard after that i really learned to give her water that often and it never happened to any of the kids.. lol. actually the poop will eventually come out without us forcing it though it is hard but i did gave her a lot of water.

Hi, I don't have a baby and I don't know much about kids but to me I think 3days no pooping id bad. You must try to get her to poop. I think there must be something in the pharmacy for making kids poop. Make her drink lot of water. Hope she poops soon. have a wonderful day.

The best thing for you to do is to consult from a pediatrician. The worries will not make you into agony. You can call or send text message to your doctor, there is no harm in asking, right?
