This is something that is making me think to really quit a day job. I could hardly work every time I report with a bad feeling because of a bad thing happens in the house. It becomes difficult for me to manage my emotion and not bring it to the work. This is really my problem and it definitely hinders me to perform my task in the company very well. I have to sacrifice my career because of a certain situation in my home..

I am so sorry to hear that you are facing so much emotional problems
at home. Sometimes it is easier said than done, we tend to think that
we can separate home from work or work from home, it is quite a
challenging task. However, whether we like it or not, we need to
separate them in an effective ways that we have to explore. If not
we will have more problems. Get to the root of problems and solve it.
The day that I tender my resination, I thought I can forget about it
and have a good night sleep. However, the whole night I can't even
catch a wink of sleep. I felt so bad and dissapointed at my bosses
who are so demanding and unreasonable at all. I just could not believe
it. As times passes by, I felt better with my colleagues moral support
and I learn to let go .... Life has so much more to offer, do not let
unnecessary problems and people take away our happiness.

Yes, I tender my resignation because I personally think I deserve better
working environment and better employer who appreciates my contribution.
My working place has too much negative energy, in one year there are more
than 35 people resigning and the office only have 5-6 employees at any
one time. I and my same batch colleagues are longer survivors here, we
managed to work more than 6 months. Some can't even stay for two days...

Hi Iriene again. For me, I have to think a million times for this plan because I am already 35 years old and that is no longer a preferred age for employment in our country. If I will quit, I will not be able to employ most probably. I am going to take the risk. All my hope lies on online things, just in case, I will no longer be connected to any corporation. It is nice to learn that you have found somewhere else which is better one, I supposed.

Hi Iriene! So, did you proceed with your resignation? I am affected physically when I do feel bad emotionally. I am thinking if I am no longer working, at least, I can just sleep over the bad emotions anytime it erupts. Unlike when I am working, I cannot help but deny the feeling and just keep it inside.

Go for it if you think quitting your job means solving your problems. But I doubt it would be a good solution. All you need to learn is not bring your family problems at work. It really would affect our performance if we do that. Or maybe have a really reliable and trusted co-worker with you to talk about such matters. Sometimes all we need is someone to listen to us with all our problems.

Hi enelym. Thanks for the insight. Yes, someone who knows how to listen will be a great help. But for now, there is no lady co-worker in my work yet. My work is just a branch so, it is manned with only three. But I do report to a number of persons in the main office.

Same here, 'm the only lady in the office. Total 4 employees sitting in the office but most of the time, only three of us will be here as the boss/owner will always be outside. There were branches in other places/country where I coordinate. It is true that with such setup there is no one that we can talk to. Good thing about me is that there is a lady working in another floor but in this very same building where I worked for. We both became friends and lunch mate so every afternoon we both talked about our work pressures and personal stuff.

Well all I can say is goodluck if you finally decided to quit your job. I think that it is a matter of time management and emotional management that you need to practice to balance your life at work and at home.
I am just wondering if quitting your job would solve your problems at home or would it be possibly be worsening your situation?

Thanks for considering my advice. I think having a job is a blessing especially when you are the provider for you love ones that is why quitting it might not be advisable unless you have to transfer to a better job. Quitting just like that is actually not a good decision.

Kesh, usually when i had bad feeling, i prefer to take a day off, to overcome my feeling. I never want to bring along my bad feeling to my working place. Indeed, it can caused us hard to concentrate and perform well in our work. Have you think twice before you decide to quit your job? Or perhaps you are able to find a much better solution to your problem? Hope you able to choose the best decision that suits you.

Are you not allowed to take some days off? So that you could attend first to your personal problem then after that you could return to work already.

Hi Aries! Thanks for the response. It is not good to ask for days off because we had a lot of holidays for the past few weeks and I do not have anyone to take over my post yet because of the unexpected resignation of my co-employee.

Dear keshlois,I think you should never take your temper from your home back to work, this is will do harm for your work as well as your home stuff,so I think what you need to do is to learn some skill to manage your emotion. If you always in a bad mood,it not only bad for your work but also bad for your health and your life, bad mood will cause things get worse,so my friend pls always keep in a positive mood.

maybe it is about time to work it out as you really cannot work hard with a bad feeling..learn to separate the feeling at home and at work but i know how hard it is. I also cannot do it even sometimes thats why i take a break off when i am feeling bad.

It really is quite hard to cope up with negative emotions especially if it affects your own personal life issues. Controlling one's emotions is a hard thing to deal with as it really affects our well-being and our thinking process, but as a suggestion if issues at home are of a too much burden, then better to resolve it first so it would not affect your performance at work.

I can relate to what you feel. Someties, we have to be expressive with our emotions to make us feel better. But control is very important so that we won't make the lives of other people miserable. Good luck, you know yourself best and may God bless you in your decision.

Sorry about that. Man are emtional animals. I think everyone will be affected by bad feelings more or less. It's natural for you to have a day off.Let's just try to reduce the bad feelings, and also it's bad for our health. Take care!
