My hometown is quite small. I guess one of the tourist attractions there is our church. It is a Catholic Church. People from different towns, cities and countries usually visit it. Some people go there every weekend. Some love going there from time to time. I am proud of it even though it lacks many things. I go home every weekend. I feel home when I'm home. Just sharing my thought everyone. Happy myLotting.

No doubt. Even if it is heaven that place will not be as good as one's own home. It is because we are familiar with that place, people, things. enjoy staying at home.

Hello to you both. Sorry for the very late reply. You're right. There's no place like home. We are familiar with everything, the place, the people, the events, etc. I guess all of us are longing to visit our hometown most of the time especially if weare away from our family, relatives and friends.

you are right, no other place will give the same enjoyment like our home town. I know you stayed in abroad for a long time, but you missed our home town at that time for sure

Yes, having a church that people can associate with your Town is always a Good thing as long as it is a good place to return too. When something gets known like that it helps make for a safe refuge and a Good place to be.

Yes, our church is known as a miraculous place. That's why they keep on coming back and pray there. When I go there, I myself feel so blessed and happy. I really feel at home there.

I am not sure why this is in the religion section apart from that the main tourist attraction in your home town is an interesting old building dedicated to some ancient religious group. In my current home town we have lots of visitors as we are by the sea and we have an unique name Great Yarmouth. My original town was Brixton in South London that is very interesting as it has a large West Indian population and the very large indoor market is full of wonderful foodstuffs and spices from all over the world. I have also lived in Wakefield in Yorkshire that has a lovely little chapel on a bridge. I believe there are now only 5 such in the UK. I have lived in London Borough of Hillingdon which contains Heathrow Airport one of the busiest ariports in the world and Northholt Airport which is used by VIPs etc.

Wow, you live in London. I'd like to visit London someday. I guess your place is also very nice. Are you Roman Catholic? Have you heard about Our Lady of Manaoag Church? If not, here's a link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Our_Lady_of_Manaoag It's very famous and a lot of people from all over the world visit it.

Oh, yeah. That's the problem with a busy city. Time is very precious and there's no time for pleasure. Every minute counts. When it comes to small towns, we have some festivals to enjoy. Your friend is lucky to live in that small but happy town.

Our batchmates have our group account in Facebook. They say that our town hasn't improved a lot yet. The center of town is just small that's why it can be a city. The total area though is 55.95 square kilometers. I guess it's bigger than some of our neighbor towns. I'm glad that you want to visit my hometown. You're welcome to go there and I hope you will enjoy going there. Be careful though. There are some pickpockets and some people will try to sell you some goods especially in front of the church. Some of them force their customers. Yeah I know because of poverty, they really need to earn money. That's why sometimes they do bad things.

My hometown is also very small we only have one redlight however we have a church on just about every corner. Most people can't even pronounce the name of my town because it is an indian name. I love my small town, everytime I leave for a while I end up just coming right back. Its where all my family is, where I went to school and where i'll be buried. Like the country song goes "its where I was born, where i was raised and it's where they'll put me in the ground, it's my town" thanks for sharing

You should be proud really for a small town like yours of being a tourist destination especially for the old structure, a church which is it's main attraction. A town as that, a tourist spot have all the chances to enhance it's economy.

I am from a very small town as well to tell the feeling of being home is something else. You feel that everything is yours. There is not much about my town but it is a single street town and it is quite long street. If you are looking for someone it is so easy to find because you can look over to other side. haha. I love my home town and proud of it as you are proud of your small town. I miss my home. It is been 2.5 years I have not seen it. I wish to go home soon. than for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Really? Your town has only one street? That's really a very small town indeed. You can find what or who you are looking for instantly. LOL. I hope you'll visit it soon.

Yes, that's right. I've been living in another city for four years now and whenever I go home on weekends I feel secured. The feeling is different. I love to have a job there but I guess it's not yet the right time for me. I need to earn more money so I have to work here until I have enough savings then I can go back to my hometown. I hope and pray that there will be more jobs available there.
