And This Man Calls Conservatives Racist?

I thought I had heard every ignorant remark there was from the Obama administration that there was to hear, until today. Will someone please tell me just how this is NOT racist? Along with Biden's 'goan put y'all back in chains' stupidity this takes the cake. Doesn't the black and hispanic communities see through this? I cannot believe there is not outrage from both. Responding Wednesday to another round of inquiries to the Justice Department’s crusade to stop states like Florida requiring voters to produce state-issued identification in order to vote, Attorney General Eric Holder stated to the Senate Judiciary Committee that some ethnic groups in the U.S. were “simply biologically incapable” of obtaining government issued IDs, and declared that requiring all voters provide IDs to vote would be “discriminatory.” http://www.duhprogressive.com/index.php/262-eric-holder-some-ethnicities-simply-biologically-incapable-of-obtaining-voter-identification “Let’s be frank,” continued Holder, “much of the anthropological data (the Justice Department) has acquired concludes that people of certain ethnicities are simply biologically incapable of obtaining voter identifications.” FOR THOSE WHO VOTED THESE PEOPLE INTO POWER: IF you're not ashamed of voting these folks to power yet, you ought to be.

Lawdude, the issue is that the accepted forms of identification are so limited. I mean, if someone in their 80s or 90s has an expired drivers' license that clearly identifies them, what does it matter that it's not current? If a college student has a school ID, what does it matter that it doesn't have an expiration date and the same goes even for some military IDs? Another issue is that they're trying to prevent a problem that doesn't even exist! The Republicans in PA admitted it in the court papers - "There is no evidence of in-person voter fraud". Voting IS a right, not a privilege certain segments of the population should have to jump through hoops for. Annie

I don't see the issue. Having valid identification identifying who you are and weeding out those not eligible strengthens the elective process. The right to vote is not a human right. It is a right of citizenshp.

Yes, they got me. I was a bit overwhelmed by several discussions I was having on FB threads, it was a 'busy' news day! lol But, I like that the discussion has migrated to voter ID laws, are you pro or con?

“Let’s be frank, much of the anthropological data (the Justice Department) has acquired concludes that people of certain ethnicities are simply biologically incapable of obtaining voter identifications.” Speak for yourself Eric Holder.

Satire or not, the excuses why voter ID should not be part of the law is just about as ridiculous. Didn't they have to show proof of who they are (birth certificate or drivers license) when they registered to vote? I know I did. Now it cost them too much money to get the birth certificate or photo ID, even though they've been told they can get the photo ID for free. If a birth certificate was required to register to vote or to get a drivers license, what happened to theirs? Why do they have to pay for what they should already have? I can't help but wonder if these disenfranchised people are ones who were never properly registered in the first place and now their sins are finding them out.

sorry bestboy, I made a boo boo, it is satire, not real. But the discussion has turned to voter ID's and the need for them if you care to remark.

My gut reaction was similar to yours debrakcarey. I didn't really notice until after I posted my initial response and saw other people pointing out that it was satire. A useful discussion I believe was generated anyway.

Ummm...do you realize that's a satire site? It's not a real article... I personally am a firm supporter of Obama.

Satire is based upon reality. Otherwise, who would find it funny? The fact is, if it was about say...Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan or let's say Family Research Center...you'd all be laughing your butts off!

http://beforeitsnews.com/tea-party/2012/08/bill-maher-black-people-dont-have-picture-id-since-they-take-the-bus-because-theyre-poor-2448442.html The reality of the embedded racism in the Democrat party is quite obvious. Lilke I said, based in reality.

There can be nothing but ignorant, deceiving, preposterous remarks from a criminal "administration" whose intent is to foment racism and allow illegals to vote so they can stay where they should not be in the first place. They intend to take this country down. Because our schools are academic and moral sewers, generations of people in this country have no clue about truth, their history, and the Constitution being desecrated. They are led as sheep to slaughter by the sewer rats and pond scum in the WH, DOJ and all in the "adminstration" now wrongfully in office. Joe Biden does not have the intellectual capacity of a gnat, and that's an insult to gnats. The rest are hard core criminals of the worst kind. As to those who "voted" these evildoers into office, they have no shame, as America has long ago abandoned a Godly moral standard, wisdom, discernment, or any understanding whatsoever of right and wrong.

From what I hear, Biden got grounded and given a time out today. He has been a bad boy and the King grounded him.

Well that was definitely a parody site and before people say parodies are based on reality, does that mean the people who act out parodies of right wing and right wing extremist voters as uneducated, buck tooth hillbillies while they cite the republican platform is correct or funny? No it isn't. I don't care about the party represented by the people posting that article, distasteful is just distasteful. Most political humor is distasteful to begin with.

Personally, I feel it is perfectly ok to hate willful ignorance. And though this may be a satire site, satire is based on reality, or it wouldn't be funny, would it?
