my cousin came home to our house yesterday. he consulted me his problem, why he did not get a job always. he is very hardworking to find a job, applying to different companies, emailing, and attending job fairs. but still, the luck of finding job is zero. well, i said to him that maybe your personality does not fit to their qualification, or the dress code and resume does not appropriate when applying. my cousin is loosing hope for not finding a job. i give him some moral support but i think it did not work. can you please help him?

you must not lose confidence in yourself, before the night of interview, you must have a good and calm sleep without any jerks or stressing so much.then only you can wake up with no fatigue and stay brisk and attractive and behave in a composed and confident way at the same time to make sure you land in a decent job with good skills

Yeah everything counts when you go for an interview, personality, communication skills, attitude, dress codes. There are so many factors. I just want to offer jobs to others instead of me applying for a job. That is my attitude. I want to do business.

Dear Akat, How old is your cousin? Maybe he does not have sufficient education. These days a High School Diploma is hardly enough for any kind of job. Can he get a certificate in something that interests him, such as cooking, carpentry, food safety, accounting, marketing, etc. etc. As for applying for a job here are some rules that might lead to success. I am retired but during my working career I hired many people. Here is what the job applicant should do: 1. Research the job or company before coming to the interview.Think of questions you might have regarding the company. 2. Prepare answers for questions that the interviewer might ask. 3. Think of his or her strenghts and weaknesses. He might be asked that question. 4. As far as a weakness is concerned put a positive spin on it. (Example if your weakness is that you are not overly assertive, the positive side is you can follow instrutions and are good team player.) 5. Be on time for the interview. 6. Remember first impressions often decide who gets hired. therefore be confident. 7. Dress appropriately. Some job interviews might require a suit and tie. Other jobs are more casual and just require a neat appearance. 8. Do not bring up the salary question yourself. The interviewer will have to bring it up. Ask what the going rates are in that industry if you are asked for your expectations. 9. Make sure your shoes are shined and polished and your clothes clean and pressed. 10. Show a friendly smile. Good luck to your cousin.

I think you could help him by showing him that you're "there" for him. Perhaps you could give some friends a call if they know of any job openings and such. The word-of-mouth is better most of the times when it comes to jobs. As for the dress-code and such. I think that comes next. There should be something in his resume that is "special" and not generic (same with the other applicants). He needs to stress his strengths - something that the company needs and he can do better than the other applicants. Go check his resume for what would spark your interest when you read it. Take out the obvious and stress on what's amazing about him. Remember that confidence is key. Tell him not to lose hope. Remember that perseverance is key. Have a great Mylot experience ahead!
