Chelsea make many recruitment this season, especially the midfielder..
Like Oscar, Marko Marin..
it speculate that the era of Lampard is over..
But Di Matteo (i believes) still needs Lampard..
Lampard and John Terry are the left senior player in Chelsea team..After Drogba leaves Chelsea, i just believe that Lampard and Terry still benefit for di Matteo.
what do you think about the role of Lampard this season??

Lampard and Terry have always demonstrated on the field that they are real leaders, no matter what happened. Of course, Terry was involved in many scandals, but on the field was a real example of how a captain should act, he always worked hard and put all his knowledge in the wealth of the team.
Lampard was always the mind of his team, he has also sacrificed himself, playing many times box-to-box and never had a second thought when he was needed to do some dirty job. Both of them are close to the retirement, but as long as they are able to play, I would let them play. They are able to help their team and are real aggressive leaders, which are needed in order to have performances in modern football.

Personally, I am sure that these two players will stay at the club after they will end their footballing career. They are at the club for a long time now and are symbols of the team.

Yeah, I think like that, Chealsea recruit many players this season and I think the center midfielder Chelsea all qualified recruits. Surely Di Matteo will be confusion for core players. But I believe the confusion is the name of Frank Lampard would have been the core of Chelsea, because look at the experience and loyalty to Chelsea no doubt.

Perhaps a time will happen like that because I think the players are loyal to the team must get a special place on the team both as a player and after retirement.

I am convinced that Lampard has at least two more seasons at the club level for Chelsea. But he will need to retire from the International team for him to have the drive and to increase his career. On Terry, I am not very sure. He has been Mr. Chelsea for all these years, but truly speaking he is now becoming a drawback for Chelsea as they cannot play a high line with Terry in the team. They need to play on the counter attack as Terry is slow in coming back and helping team, so he needs protection in front of him.
Cheers!
