I have just been given an assignment about Integrated Modular Curriculum. I am not so sure about what to write regarding this matter so I am asking your help. Can anyone explain to me what Integrated Modular Curriculum means. Thank you.

A Modular Curriculum consists of courses taught in modules (short courses, each self-contained, by which students gain points for each module rather than for the course as a whole). This can make courses easier to teach and also allows students flexibility in their studies because they can choose which modules best satisfy their final qualification. An Integrated Curriculum is one in which both the arts and sciences are combined to give students a broader education. An Integrated Modular Curriculum is one which seeks to combine both principles. Thank you so much owlwings. Your definition of integrated modular curriculum is very helpful as I will be making a thesis regarding this matter. Again thank you very much. I will visit your link now.

Those links were just two examples selected very quickly from a search. I suggest that you use a search engine (why not use MyLot, as I did?) to find more examples and descriptions of the topic. "Using a Search Engine efficiently" is certainly one module which I would hope is included in any Integrated Modular Curriculum because, although it may not be related to any specific course, it is an IT skill which is essential to every student!

I just saw this "mylot" this morning in my email and I aim to help you Masmasika. This means that curriculum should take on an integrated approach, that is, it should be one that has the various subjects included when teaching. For example You are going to teach a science lesson on 'Teeth' Because you are going to teach using the integrated approach you will have the following included: A description of the teeth....(English)(this can be further broken down into poetry, singing, phonics etc) The number of teeth.......(Mathematics) The use of the teeth, The shapes and size of the teeth, the make up of the teeth....(Science) Here as a teacher you would include a lesson that has skills, and the different subjects areas woven in a seamless manner. The lessons should be in series (modular) Masmasika you would not say to the students that this is mathematics or English you would just present it to them. I hope this helps and I am not too late.

The word implies putting together is an integration of modules or subjects needed to learn in a certain course or degree in Colleges or Universities. It is well known as syllabus.
