I find Chinese people interesting, but have little patience with the regime. It is its poor democratic record and the way that it is attacking many of our economies that makes me feel we should never trade with China.

Do you think we chinese want to trade with US?Our workers toil day and night in sweat shops only to barely fill their stomaches and provide cheap and high-quality made-in-china items to US people. Most of our labor fruits have been stolen by US.We produce products but make little profit it is the US who make a big fortune. We have no choice because we are located at the low-end of industries. We have nothing to sell expect cheap labor pool.American should be grateful to multitude of chines working people.Without their industrial labour,Americans can never lead such a comfortable lives.

Firstly I am not American and cannot speak in that regard. Truth is there is much propaganda portrayed by either government. I accept that Chinese workers toil in sweat-shops to provide the low-value, low-quality goods made in China, that permeate western stores. Truth is that with a recession in the west most people have searched for alternative products that are affordable. This is where Walmart and stores like them profit from such trade. It is doubted that a large number of Americans live the comfortable lives that you suggest they have. Truth is that American poverty is at a high right now. So many jobs have been lost over the last few years. There seems no end in sight for this recession.

American record of huamn rights is also shameful, therefore have nothing to boast on this issue. Not longer ago a street performer was fired 15 times and be riddled with 7 bullets.Police suspected he smoked marihuana and it was said he waved knife toward police. But there are dozens of police on the spot obviously they can arrest he without claiming his life.He is a poor, eking out a mean life by doing some stunts like back flips and beging dollars from others. He would not do any harm to anyone. On the other hand, when you feel bored and in a bad mood, this guy can bring amusement to you. Life is unique and precious to anyone,no matter they are poor or rich.Fire at such a people 15 round in a row clearly show authority's attitude toward those poor and powerless.

I am very keen on visiting different countries and I am keen on the idea of visiting China. I like the look of Chinese writing and think China is a beautiful country. I would love to visit its capital city called Beijing to see its palace and famous square. It would be wonderful to travel on trains around China. I visited Hong Kong when I was aged 28 years old. I wish I could travel by train from Moscow in Russia to Beijing via Mongolia. I think Chinese people are friendly. I would need a visa for go to China.

Hi maximax, Very pleased to meet you! I was born in the southeast of China and it is close to Russia. I am in the city Shanghai now and its the financial center of China. Welcome to Shanghai and Welcome to Beijing. Hongkong is an international city and it is prosperous and bustling. But when you come the mainland of China, you will find a different China with Hongkong, weather foods, scene or language. (Hongkong people speak Cantonese and mainland people speak maindarin). I also want to travel to Britsh and my partner went to London about 2 years ago. He said the food is delicious and expensive.

Yes,chinese is very differnt from European languages which are belong to alphabetic writing system. When you see a word of European language, you can easily pronounce it for the pronunciation system and its writing system are closely connected. But things are very different when it come to Chinese language. When you see a chniese character, you cannot work out its pronunciation by deduction. The writing system of chinese is completely independent of its pronunciation. Therefore, when you learn chinese, both sides of you cerebral hemispheres are employed,a interesting phenomenon conducive to the further development and improvement of intelligence. On the contrary, when you learn European language, only one side of your cerebral hemisphere is employed. This is detrimental to the overall development of people.

Your statement is very true 2 decades ago.But now younger generation in China begin to learn English when they were very young.Even in primary school,English is a compulsory course which all pupils should study.Today many people in China have a good command of English.

Yeah, dragon dance and lion. They are wonderful. But it is popular in the south of China like Guangzhou and so on. In the north of China, people like yanggo (a popular rural folk dance) in the festivals.
