I saw a quote the other day a friend posted on facebook. It really made me think - do people really share their disappointments more than their joys?
It was along the lines of If people shared their joys more than they share their disappointments and angers the world would be a much happier place.
I sat and thought for a while and browsed facebook...and realized that often people share when they are mad, sad, depressed, disappointed...but the happy things tend to take the background.
I've decided to make an effort to share my joys more often.
Do you share your happiness more than your sadness?

i do share my sadness more than my happiness and i don't know why but i think that we don't value most of the happiness but every sad thing is made very big however small it is i think it is automatic

hi saundyl I had to think on that and yes I thing I am more
on sharing my joy at something than my upset over something. I
learned to be more open to sharing what makes me happy but
yes I have come here all unhappy and shared my bad times. I just
realized that a lot of times I have shared more upsets and I
am going to try to again regain that sense of optimism I
used to have.My husband was the original cockeyed optimist
and he brought me the pessimist unto seeing things in a lot
more positive view. but after becoming a widow I did sort of
slide back into my old pessimism.good discussion that makes us take a real look at ourselves and our viewpoints on our daily life.

Thank you. The quote really made me sit and think. Also heard my brotherinlaw tell my sister that he feels everyone always complains about each other too much. I didnt notice it til he said it but....sometimes we do focus on the bad or the sad or what made us mad when we're together as a group.

yes i prefer to share my joys and keep most of my disappointments to myself. The latter i choose to share only with my family and at times to a very close and trusted friend to ask for advice. Let's strive to have a happy mood around us and unburdening one's worries to others won't help.

Yes i share my happiness more than my sadness on facebook. i don't want to make my friends sad because i am sad. or to worry them.
but in case i need a solution to my problem, i do share my problem, and ask for their opinion. because sometimes, you r not able to find a solution to your problem, but they can help.
Happiness, if you share your happiness with others, your happiness doubles. you are more happy, even your friends become happy because you are happy.
Sadness, why would you want your friends to be sad, just because you are?
