Could not log in mylot for two consecutive days.

I along with other family members went outdoors for a trip to Digha, a tourist spot on the sea shore of Bay of Bengal. So, I could not log in mylot for two consecutive days. We stayed there in a luxurious resort with all modern facilities like the facility of using their cyber café. So, I could easily use it for mylotting. But I did not dare to do so. The reason was my account might be hacked as I was not sure of the safety measures, if any, taken by the authority of the resort. So, I did not take any chance. Was not it a correct decision on my part? There was also another reason which, of course, was not so important as the first one. It was all about the frequent change of IP address. If I used their cyber café for mylotting, there would have been a change of IP address, and after two days, there would be return back of the original one. As I was not sure whether it is allowed in mylot or whether it requires a prior approval, I did not take the risk. Can you throw light on this aspect too?

Well number one many times when I am on vacation most of my is spent with my husband or friends so I do not get online much. But I am always known to post here from various devices and places all the time so I know it is usually different all the time. But I have found missing a day or two here never hurts anything as long as people remember to come back.

No, it is not the question of hurting anything but the question of habit formation and addiction to mylot so much so that if I cannot log in mylot for some other unavoidable reason on any day, it always seems to me that I have missed something on that day.

Now for me, I have to say that when I am away from home for a vacation, I really don't access the internet all that much. The reason that I don't access the internet isn't because of the fact that I think that my account could be hacked. Instead, the reason that I don't spend very much time at all on the internet is because of the fact that I like to enjoy the world around me and the special time that I am able to have with my family when I am away from home.

I am not speaking of devoting time as on other days but just to visit mylot as it has been almost an addiction to it. I may not participate in any discussion or may not start any discussion but I must log in mylot regularly to see what is happening all around.

Hello, nice to hear that you spend some time at a tourist place. I also log in after three days because I have not connectivity for last three days. Once I used another computer to my lotting but didn't notice any change of IP. So I think you can use another computer for mylotting. Good luck

that was because obviously some issue was going in server and another most important issue is dont ever try to login with same username by another virtual machine or using VPN ,it will cause some serious aspects related to your account
