We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false. William Casey, CIA director 1981 How does that make you feel? Still believe everything you're told by the Media? Still believe there are no actual conspiracy theories and all is well with in your world? I feel like I've entered George Orwell's novel, 1984.

It reminds me of the USSR in its heyday. The people knew nothing but what was allowed (or created) by the Communist government. I remember being told that the people thought all of the world was going through the same problems they were when it was food shortages and extremely high prices. I didn't realize what a parallel it made until I said it.

Yes, I know that, Debra. That is their intent and purpose and they are carrying out the plan. Much of the citizenry has been dumbed down to the point that they don't care to know what's been going on.

1. several non law enfocement agencies in the US gov. are buying massive amounts of hollow point ammo. 2. the military is training our soldiers to fight in urban areas, buying them special gear to do so. It is a well know secret that our military CAN legally be used for law enforcement and crowd control now under Patriot act. The troops are also being used under the command of foreign powers in other countries. You tube is full of uploaded videos from returned soldiers testifying to this training. Not to mention, a former marine was arrested by Secret Service two days ago for political speech. They're saying he was crazy, why are so many of our military coming home with soup for brains, if in fact he WAS posting crazy stuff? Friends of his say he wasn't. His mother said he was't. NOW we have ONLY the SS's word for it. 3. Congresswoman Bachmann was recently lambasted by John McCain and John Boehner for writing a letter asking why Huma Abedin has been allowed access to high security documents in her work for Sec. of State Hillary Clinton when her entire family is part of the Muslim Brotherhood. Why is it wrong to question those in high places all of a sudden? I mean...if you are doing your job protecting America, answer the damn question, right? 4. Especially now that the Muslim Brotherhood's pet project, the president of Egypt is crucifying Christians and Jews in plain sight in Cairo. Along with high ranking officials of our DHS are also linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. and Obama & Hillary made sure that $1.5B was sent to ensure 'democracy' in Egypt. I have no patience with leftist liberals and the rest of the traitorous bunch. I'm sorry if I am so sarcastic. The destruction of my country has done that to me. It's taken them a few generations, but they've come REAL close to taking over America, just like they promised, without a shot fired. This admission by the head of the CIA just makes it all that harder to take. They've been telling us for decades what they were doing and we, in the name of liberty for all, allowed them to do it.

Is this a surprise? I'm old. I haven't believed anything from the media or the politicians in a long, long time. The American people have been getting screwed for years by the people they put in office. We're nothing but a big fat paycheck to the government, major food conglomerates, the medical profession and Big Pharma. And unlike the generation of the 60's, today's young people are too self centered and busy with their ipods and iphones and whatevers to do anything about it. And they are so easily fooled by lying politicians.

I think every American knows that their government has secrets that they don't know about. Some have said that if we knew about them it would hurt the country, other feel we should know everything the government does. Personally, I think that it is good and bad. The American people do a good job of explaining to our elected officials when the government is over stepping their bounds (like during Watergate). But, if American's wanted to know everything that the government knows then they would have voted for Ron Paul!!!!

First of all, the quote isn't about keeping secrets. It is about disinformation and propaganda. Not just withholding info but making it up and twitsting it too. second, your 'like Watergate' insertion screams for me to say this...the investigation uncovered that Nixon was trying to plug security leaks in his White House. Shall we talk about Whitewater? At least Nixon had the good sense to resign for the sake of the country...Clinton continued the dirty behavior he started in Arkansas and continued the cover up on into the White House and refused to resign. I live near Arkansas...it is a well know joke that there's lots more bodies out in the woods of Arkansas than just the one (Vince Foster) that the found in the park across the Potomic. Americans understand the concept of state secrets Debater. What YOU don't seem to understand is that this quote basically says we've been telling you a bunch of crap for decades, and that's ok, cause we're in power and you are stupid enough to believe us.

I'd be curious about exactly what he was referring to. This is the CIA after all, and I'm sure that false stories is part of their international efforts. For example, back in World War II, the military was intercepting Japanese information, but of course they used code words. They knew from the information that the Japanese planned to attack, but they didn't know where because they didn't know what the code word referred to. So they planted a completely fictitious story in American media that the water procession plant at Midway Island was broken, and under repair. Sure enough, another Japanese cable went through indicating that the water plant at (code word) was broken. The US military now knew the code word location the Japanese were going to attack was Midway Island. This led to the stunning, and likely the most decisive naval Victory in the history of the world. Planting false stories is perfectly normal throughout the world. To be honest, I'm more worried about the disinformation the media does on it's own, with naturally biased reporters. I have caught the media in so many lies, so many times, it's one of the reasons I never watch TV. I assume at the start that most of what I'm watching is false. I'm usually more shocked when they get something right.
