When you pray, are you always asking for something or you pray for thanking what you have received. People says that prayer is a sin killer, sick healer, power giver, victory gainer and blessing promoter. Well all of this you can attain every time you ask and pray. But were you able to thanks for what you have received. It is not good to be asking always when ever you pray. How about you. What can you say.

Hi friend, prayers always have its own importance and benefits, we will get peace of mind while submitting our problems in the form of prayers to the lord and hope he will solve all our problems.

Honestly, I do pray to God to ask something. I think only a few times I have thanked him for what he given to me. One side is that he didn't yet given me anything that I had prayed for. But I have to say I did asked him only thing for me. But this will never pull me back, I will never stop asking to him because I know well that one day he will hear my prayers. He have to.

That is how we feel, what we ask when we pray we thought that it is not given to us yet but for all you know you have received it in another way. Try to stop asking the same thing and it will come to you in time you will not expect it to happen. Thanks for sharing.

My prayers are mostly combinations of gratefulness for all the blessings God has showered on me and my family, and also supplications for guidance in actions and decisions. I also pray for a lot of things, like enlightenment when confused, health, safety, emotional, physical and intellectual strength of my whole family and some friends and people. And these prayers had done a lot to our lives and is still the best resort that I cling on to for every challenge that come our way.

Prayers help me in making me more at ease. When I feel scared or worried, I say a little prayer and this makes me feel better. I am guilty of not always praying but I am trying pray often again. I always thank God for all His blessing for me and my family when I pray. I ask for forgiveness for all the wrong thing that I've done. I also add more personal stuff in there.

Prayers do help us feel safe and better. Every time we pray, we are talking to the Lord for all the blessings received and for bringing us away from harm.

Prayers helped me a lot, not only in getting what I want. Prayers give me strength, calm me down and make me sleep. I pray for all reasons, and one of them is to thank God for all the blessing I got.

Yes, we are always thankful for the things we have received every day. The beautiful day we have very time we wakes up, the air we breath, the sun that shines everyday. Everything we thank the Lord for the many blessings He has given us.

I always make it a point that everytime I pray I always make it first to thank God for everything I have received for the day and for the past few days as well. I also ask forgiveness for my mistakes and for the sins I made before asking anything from God. Yes, there are times that I will be asking something from God during my roughest times and though my prayers wouldn't be answered that easily, I still pray and never lose patience in praying to him everyday.

When we pray, we never lose hope that what we pray will be granted. As it says, ask and you shall received, knock and it shall be opened unto you.

Hi, I agree with you. Prayers are an opportunity to deepen my relationship with the Lord. I also spend time in prayer praising the Lord and thanking Him for his provision, care and continued faithfulness in my life.

I agree that we ask a lot of God and perhaps we do not show our thanks enough. I know that we need to appreciate all we are given, so there are days I just talk to Him. We sometimes need people to talk to and for me He is always there. It helps me to know that somebody is listening even if I do not get an answer, I know eventually I will find mine.

What ever you do, He is there looking at you, not knowing that your prayers are being answered in another way you did not expect it. So try to give thanks every day when you wakes up, for He always hear you.

Prayer serves as my communication to God. Whenever I pray, I did not just ask, I also praise and thank Him for the gifts I received and for the gift of life. I also ask pardon of my sins. :)

Yes, that is all what we do when we pray, not always asking but the most important is to praise and thank Him for what we have in life. The food we eat, the air we breath and to ask pardon of the wrongs we have made. Thank you for sharing.
